I just finished reading Part 1 and I must admit this book is off to a scary start...

I feel so sorry for both father and son who fail to truly understand each other's needs. And I am wondering where that (imaginary?) little girl comes from... has the whispering already started or how else would it be possible that Jake does already hear the saying about the whispering ring out in his mind?
And yes, of course I am scared of where the traces of the whisper man and the Neil case might lead...after all the original whisper man is supposed to be behind bars. so is there a partner in crime? Or is this Frank guy maybe only a minor fish in a way bigger case?

I'm almost scared to read on...

I’ve finished the book so I won’t say anything to avoid spoilers, but yes, it’s sad how the dad just doesn’t know how to communicate with his kid.

It's sad how much the dad struggles to communicate with his kid and how much he is trying to build a connection with him. It really is an eerie story especially as we guess who the whisper man is now if the original one is in jail. I love how likable they made Frank though, he sounds like a great man.
