When did you read this? What age group is it aimed at--Adult, NA, YA, children's chapter or children's picture? Where did you find it? What format did you read it in--dead tree, electronic, voice etc.
Possibly the 'Petaybee' series by Anne McCaffrey?"The miraculous and mysterious world of Petaybee was to be investigated. No-one - no-one outside Petaybee, that is - could believe that the planet was a living, breathing sentient entity, that every plant and animal was in symbiotic communication with the spirit of the Petaybean world. Matthew Luzon was one of the investigators, an arrogant, wily, manipulative man who didn't believe there was anything in the universe that couldn't be controlled by hard scientific methods. His plan was to crush Petaybee, strip it of its mineral assets, and subdue or destroy the inhabitants.
Major Yanaba Maddock - who had been sent to Petaybee to die, but who now understood its secretive curative powers - with the help of Sean Shongili, Clodagh, and all the gifted ones of Kilcoole, was determined to fight for their world.
It was a battle in which every human, every plant, and every secretive telepathic creature - most especially the famous orange felines of Petaybee - was to be put at risk. Luzon was determined to destroy them - whatever the cost."
I got it as a PDF off the internet, I think I read it 2012 or 2013. I believe its considered a NA, more for adult eyes then kids. I remember another part is when she is actually still pregnant she hand glides with the help of her symbiote ( I think that's what there called ) and her female friend and ends up scaring her man half to death.
I read that series. It was good and it was similar to the one I cant remember as in the symbiotes but The Dragon Lords are gold ones and the book I cant remember are more of a transparent colour or a bluey-grey colour. I appreciate the help.
Got it! Well, sort of. The author is Autumn Dawn and the series is Darklands. That particular book is, I believe, the first, The Charmer.
Thank you Jaye!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! The Charmer is exactly the one I have been looking for. Thank you so much for everyones suggestions :)
You can move this to the 'solved' folder by clicking on the 'edit' link that follows the subject's title, and select the folder - and then change the subject to start with 'SOLVED: [your title]' - which will help the next person who is looking for your book. :)
