We do not have a policy which addresses translators specifically.
Unlike an author who will be listed first on most/all of their works, a translator (who never also publishes their own works) will always be a secondary author. So having all their works on a single profile to allow combining is not relevant.

OK. Even when they are also an author, as in this case?(FWIW. that's a relief to me if so because adding their names twice to everything they ever translated is a HUGE job!)
a translator (who never also publishes their own works)In this case, she does also publish her own works, and there are more authors who also do translations (thankfully, the only ones I can think of offhand use the Latin alphabet).
I agree that having both the primary and the secondary author in two alphabets is a bit much :)
