Nick (nickqueen) Here's the description for the book:

A story about a high school that keeps establishing more and more rules and students keep disappearing. The narrator, a boy, keeps trying to convince his dad that it is happening. Finally, he convinces his dad and they move.

Kirsty (kirstyreadsandcreates) I have no idea, but I'd be interested to know which book it is... sounds like a good read!

Trina (trieb) | 7 comments It sounds a little like After by Francine Prose, but I haven't read it because the subject matter is a little too disturbing for me. (I know about it because one of my students told me all about it.)

Kirsty (kirstyreadsandcreates) having just read the topic, it sounds like the right one from Nick's description above... have added it to my to-read list. Nothing is too disturbing for me (I have a good stomach lol) so have added it to my to-read list. Thanks!

Trina (trieb) | 7 comments It's not so much the gore that bugs me, it's more the idea of kids being hurt/killed that I find disturbing.

It's the same thing that stops me from reading Unwind.

Nick (nickqueen) LOL! I was a bit held up for a few days but I can confirm this is the book. I distinctly remember the cover from a friend that suggested it. Going on my To-Read list asap! Thanks Trina!

Ken I'm with Trina (and for the same reasons). No, thanks.
