I finished Keep Me Safe by Maya Banks. It was great. I'm now reading another Romantic Suspense featuring a psychic female protagonist: Forbidden Territory by Paula Graves. So far I'm enjoying it.
I finished Deep Sleep
by Steven Konkoly. My 4.5 rounded to 5 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Steven Konkoly’s first book in the Devin Gray series is disconcerting, suspenseful, and action-packed. It has aspects of both political and military thrillers as well as a conspiracy thriller. Konkoly continues to bring great characters, entertaining story lines, and lots of action together in exhilarating novels. I’m looking forward to reading the next book soon.
I finished Forbidden Territory by Paula Graves. Enjoyed it a lot. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author :-)
I finished reading All the Dark Places
by Terri Parlato. My 3.98 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This debut novel is well crafted and hooked me in the first chapter.
I read The Mighty Mckenzies Series by Lena Diaz. I enjoyed all the four books but the ones I liked best were:
Book 2: Smokies Special Agent
Book 3: Conflicting Evidence
Looking forward to reading more books by this author :-)

This sounds like a good series. I don't think I've read anything by this author before. I added the first one to my TBR.

Yes, it's a great series. The first book was actually my least favourite though I did enjoy it. The ones I enjoyed most were book 2 and book 3. The fourth, which was the last, was also very good.
I've also read and enjoyed her Marshland Justice series. In that series my favourites were book 2 and book 4.
I'm now interested in reading her other books, especially her Tennessee SWAT series, The Justice Seekers series, and Tennessee Cold Case series. I also wish to read her Deadly Games series but it's mentioned on her website the books are being revised.
Currently I'm reading Appalachian Prey by Debbie Herbert. It's my first book by this author. So far I'm enjoying it.

I finished reading A Noble Cunning: The Countess and the Tower
by Patricia Bernstein. My 3.19 rounded to 3 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Patricia Bernstein brings to life the political and religious situation in Scotland and England. This novel is historical fiction set in the early 1700’s, but based on real events with names changed and fictional individuals added. Overall, the book was atmospheric and full of suspense. It is also very descriptive, which does a great job of giving readers a feeling of the time and place. However, it also slows the pace and adds to the instances of telling versus showing. Additionally, at the 95% point in the book, there is a fast jump in time with no transition.

Some of the other series sound good too. Thanks for the heads-up on this author.
Here is my 4.52 rounded to 5 stars review of The Wolf is Mine
by Paige Tyler: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is the thirteenth book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team paranormal romantic suspense series. As always, this author does a great job of bringing action, romance, and suspense to the story line.
I read Badge of Honor series by Rita Herron. I enjoyed all the four books but my favourite was book 3: Protective Order.
Here is my 4.09 rounded to 4 stars review of Wicked Dreams
by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Bush:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The authors brought suspense, interesting characters, and an exciting story line together in a thrilling novel. This writing duo brings a twisty and chilling tale to readers with excellent characterization and terrific. world-building that fits well with the story line.
I finished Back in a Spell
by Lana Harper. My 3.7 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Lana Harper knows how to draw readers into a story with great characterization and world-building. This is the third book in The Witches of Thistle Grove series.
I finished Tails, You Lose
by Carol J. Perry.My 3.58 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Paranormal cozy mystery with a bit of romance set in Salem, MA.
I have just finished The Piano Man Project by Kat French. It has been lurking on my TBR shelf after some recommendations. It was different from the usual romance books, had a sitcom feel and was a thoroughly good read. Now going to start It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover, with a bit of interpretation due to the reviews and the cost of the book @ £7.99, the queue for it from the library was in years for my turn and I have recently read It End With Us and don’t want to forget it by the time I read the sequel. It is more of a curiosity read than I actually loved the first one so much I want to read the second.
I can now post my 3.13 rounded to 3 stars review of The House in the Pines
by Ana Reyes.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is an atmospheric psychological thriller with an unreliable narrator.
I spend the last part of the year reading Mari Carr series...It started with the latest in her Italian Stallions series, Rough and Ready. The series involves Italian siblings and cousins who live in Philly. Some of the characters cross over in stories from her Wilder Irish series, so I revisited several of the books in that series. Which led me to rereading a couple from the original Irish series, Wild Irish.
I don't know how it caught my eye -- a freebie in a newsletter, I think -- but I then hit her Sparks in Texas series. That led me to her Big Easy series.
I have yet to be disappointed by anything of hers I read.
Happy New Year everyone!
I'm reading Worth the Risk by Melinda Di Lorenzo. She's a new-to-me author. So far I'm enjoying the book :-)

Happy New Year!I finished Last Seen in Santorini
by Vivian Conroy. My 3.44 rounded to 3 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Historical cozy mystery - book 2 in the series
It was entertaining with several twists, but lacked the historical feel of 1930.
I finished my review of Son of the Poison Rose
by Jonathan Maberry. My 3.95 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is the second book in Maberry's foray into his epic dark fantasy series featuring Kagen Vale. Fantastic world-building, compelling characters, and lots of action and suspense made this one a page turner.
I finished Chasers
by James Phelan. My 3.73 rounded to 4 stars review:

Great ending twist.
I actually read this book in 2022, but couldn't post my review until early 2023. City Under One Roof
by Iris YamashitaMy 3.79 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I finished The Devil You Know
by P.J. Tracy.My 3.86 rounded to 4 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Overall, this was a complex police procedural with compelling characters. With the several sub-plots, it kept me turning the pages. It's the third book in the Detective Margaret Nolan series.
