I finished Keep Me Safe by Maya Banks. It was great. I'm now reading another Romantic Suspense featuring a psychic female protagonist: Forbidden Territory by Paula Graves. So far I'm enjoying it.

PamG (lynguy1) | 1148 comments I finished Deep Sleep Deep Sleep (Devin Gray, #1) by Steven Konkoly by Steven Konkoly.

My 4.5 rounded to 5 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Steven Konkoly’s first book in the Devin Gray series is disconcerting, suspenseful, and action-packed. It has aspects of both political and military thrillers as well as a conspiracy thriller. Konkoly continues to bring great characters, entertaining story lines, and lots of action together in exhilarating novels. I’m looking forward to reading the next book soon.

This sounds like a good series. I don't think I've read anything by this author before. I added the first one to my TBR.

Yes, it's a great series. The first book was actually my least favourite though I did enjoy it. The ones I enjoyed most were book 2 and book 3. The fourth, which was the last, was also very good.

I've also read and enjoyed her Marshland Justice series. In that series my favourites were book 2 and book 4.

I'm now interested in reading her other books, especially her Tennessee SWAT series, The Justice Seekers series, and Tennessee Cold Case series. I also wish to read her Deadly Games series but it's mentioned on her website the books are being revised.

Currently I'm reading Appalachian Prey by Debbie Herbert. It's my first book by this author. So far I'm enjoying it.

PamG (lynguy1) | 1148 comments I finished reading A Noble Cunning: The Countess and the Tower A Noble Cunning The Countess and the Tower by Patricia Bernstein by Patricia Bernstein.

My 3.19 rounded to 3 stars review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Patricia Bernstein brings to life the political and religious situation in Scotland and England. This novel is historical fiction set in the early 1700’s, but based on real events with names changed and fictional individuals added. Overall, the book was atmospheric and full of suspense. It is also very descriptive, which does a great job of giving readers a feeling of the time and place. However, it also slows the pace and adds to the instances of telling versus showing. Additionally, at the 95% point in the book, there is a fast jump in time with no transition.

Alice (alice_gibson) | 1 comments I have just finished The Piano Man Project by Kat French. It has been lurking on my TBR shelf after some recommendations. It was different from the usual romance books, had a sitcom feel and was a thoroughly good read. Now going to start It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover, with a bit of interpretation due to the reviews and the cost of the book @ £7.99, the queue for it from the library was in years for my turn and I have recently read It End With Us and don’t want to forget it by the time I read the sequel. It is more of a curiosity read than I actually loved the first one so much I want to read the second.

Karen (xkamx) | 101 comments I spend the last part of the year reading Mari Carr series...

It started with the latest in her Italian Stallions series, Rough and Ready. The series involves Italian siblings and cousins who live in Philly. Some of the characters cross over in stories from her Wilder Irish series, so I revisited several of the books in that series. Which led me to rereading a couple from the original Irish series, Wild Irish.

I don't know how it caught my eye -- a freebie in a newsletter, I think -- but I then hit her Sparks in Texas series. That led me to her Big Easy series.

I have yet to be disappointed by anything of hers I read.
