Just wanted to clarify something right quick :)For the alternates that have a link to a shelf, they're on a particular shelf. If you're going with the alternate any time that's a spot with a shelf as the alternate, your book must be shelved exactly as the shelf is listed. For example, the re-read shelf means that's is shelved as such, not that you have to re-read a book.
Each team has on post 4 of their thread, above the alternate list a mini rundown of each type of alternate that's used, i.e. color, shelf, author etc.
omg... I'm so super bummed... I did research on my Ipad and when I read this book it said it wasn't apart of a series but when i added it to my review it said it was a #3.5.... Now I have to find a whole new book and read it before tomorrow is that correct??? Help please!!! Christmas Letters
I'm on the app right now and looking on it, it does look like a standalone. It's obviously not, but I'll let it go this week lol. It's your first time playing and I probably could of made that mistake myself even. Guess that should be something for all of us to think about each week lol
absolutely.... I won't be doing my book picking from the app anymore that is for sure. I'll still try to see if I can get another book done by tomorrow night because I feel bad but thank you so much Jenne!!! I'll be sure to let my team know for sure not to do what I did. lol
I'm kinda glad it happened, it's good to know for future reference. I use the app ever bit as much as the browser.
I have noticed the app on my kindle just doesn't have the features I like (like seeing series books with only a click or adding the book links) plus when I look at posts I have to scroll through all of them to see the newest which is a bummer when some of my groups have threads that are 500+ comments long so I try not to use the app much. In a pinch it does work though. Thanks for pointing out that out though. I never would have thought about it either.
Jenne wrote: "I'm kinda glad it happened, it's good to know for future reference. I use the app ever bit as much as the browser."I never even thought that there would be a difference! Might be good to remind everyone in the basic rules to always double check with the browser.
The GR app does not show a lot of information, but the one I would really like them to fix is to show the series of the books. For that reason, I usually choose books on the browser just to be on the safe side. Christina....I read this week that said GR app on the kindle will be updated with some new things...

Since we are rolling twice tonight (midnight CT) each team member can read their next two books at their own pace and post their reviews without waiting for the others on the team correct? Just can't roll on 12/5 unless everyone on the team has posted both reviews before then, correct?
Jenne wrote: "Right and if anyone doesn't think they can pull off 2 with the holiday just let me know :)"Thanks Jenne - just wanted to clarify that if I read both this weekend (I'm thinking positively here) that I could post both and not worry about it again until the 5th!
You could :)I'd like to do the same, I should be able to knock out some audios getting ready for Thanksgiving.

:)
Some day I'll get into audios. Ones I've heard the voices never match what I "hear" in my head as I read.
Just out of curiosity, do we have to read our books in order of these two rolls or the other way around as long as I get the two books done by the next roll?
That's up to you. Just let me know before they're due if you (this is for everyone not singling you out lol) can't make the deadline because of travel etc.
Angie you're good :)Joeera I can't tell if that's scars or tattoos. I'll enlarge it after I get back from getting the kiddos to school.
I am sorry if this has already been asked... But can we use a book that we might already have in progress that happens to fit a roll, or do we have to start the book after the roll?
Looking ahead and trying to plan some reads ...Does this cover
count as: NO people / 1 person / headless person?
Jenne wrote: "It'll work for one person and headless person."Thanks ... entering it into the spreadsheet now.
Jenne I have a team member that would like to read
this week as a 2. It lists as a sequel to another book but not as a series book 2. Will that work?
No, it very well could be but it's not listed as a #2. I even clicked on the authors page too. Since I use GR listing as the rule it won't work :(
