SOLVED. YA Science Fiction set in a futuristic boarding school, where graduates meet a terrible fate. Spoilers Ahead. [s]

I read this book around 2011-2012, in the US. All that I can remember is that it took place in a boarding school for girls, where the students were very sheltered from the outside world and led to believe that they had a wonderful fate. However, when they went "across the lake" upon graduation, it turned out that (view spoiler)[ graduates were used as surrogates, being pregnant with around five children at a time (hide spoiler)]. I don't think that it's Never Let Me Go, although this seems to be the main result that I get when I search.
