I am waiting for my last five books to come in at the library, so I am reading for fun Unfamiliar Fishes by Sarah Vowell.

I hope it is good Donna Jo, she was so funny on The Daily Show. I liked Assassination Vacation

Dlmrose wrotwase: "I hope it is good Donna Jo..."I've been enjoying her writing style, but the subject matter is a little depressing--the US takeover of the Hawaiian Islands in the 1800's. It is worth reading, as is The Wordy Shipmates about the Pilgrims. I also liked her book of essays The Partly Cloudy Patriot.
I have started Lyon's Pride finally! Also I am reading A Visit from the Goon Squad and The Winthrop Woman.
Finished Lyon's Pride! Now I am reading: A Visit from the Goon Squad for Part A of 25.5 and The Burglar Who Liked to Quote Kipling to finish off 50.1.
I finished Flawless (50.1b) and still reading Undaunted (10.4) and Scarlet Moon: A Retelling of "Little Red Riding Hood" (15.10) and started Perfect (50.1c)

I am reading The Founding Foodies: How Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin Revolutionized American Cuisine (interesting topic, but rather dry writing) and Haiti Noir (for a book talk on short stories I will be doing).
Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "anyone getting excited that the new tasks will be out in 10 days!!!"Oh wow yes!! This is my first challenge and my favourite part was picking out the books to read for each task! Reading them has been fun too, but now approaching the end there is not so much choice. Definitely looking forward to fitting my TBRs onto the new tasks!

I've only been doing these challeges the last several months, and I've yet to finish one completely. I do however have a tremendous amount of fun "trying" to finish. LOL. And yes, it's always exciting to see the new tasks.
I just finished Undaunted (10.4) and currently reading The Red Pyramid for 30.1a and will be starting Uglies (30.1b) soon too.
I read Jayme's comment about not finishing a SRC yet and then Meghan's comment about finishing the book Undaunted and my thought was "That is me - not yet finishing a SRC but undaunted in my attempts!" Thanks to both of you for a smile today!
Oh i still participate because it at least knocks some books off my TBR list. Problem is, I put more on.
ditto...I love going through the task completion list and adding books that look interesting...I don't get how people don't keep a to-read list...lol!
Haha you guys! You are making me laugh. My TBR list is getting extensive. Almost 400 books on my Nook to read and that doesn't even include my wishlist of ones to buy/get/borrow.
