I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it. I hope to get to it soon.
Right now I'm reading Drums of Autumn and Eat, Pray, Love. I'm getting through them slowly only because I work full-time, go to school part-time, and have a young family. I hope to finish them by the end of the challenge! LOL

We'll see how it comes along for me. I like that it's a no-brainer kind of read - perfect for when I'm waiting in line somewhere, or other moments when I really can't afford to tune the world out and concentrate.

I'll be curious to see how it goes for you!
An Echo in the Bone (still) along with Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos and Evil Under the Sun. I like to have a variety going.
long flight today, so i managed to finish up 3 of my in progress books and started 2 more - now reading: The Devil Went Down To Georgia (15.1); Halfway to the Grave (15.3)
Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord (#10.2)He Shall Thunder in the Sky (#15.7)
Brother Fish (#10.7)
I finished Winner Stands Alone which I did not like at all (1*). I am hoping to finish The Swan Thieves this afternoon. This book I am really enjoying. I will then work on finishing The Queen's Man.
Starting A Cottage in Portugal and The Lightning Thief and finishing up on The Triumph of Caesar. Five tasks completed.
The Hunger Games(30.5)Haven't really been in the mood to go far on this one. Reminds me too much of Battle Royale, which I had watched (movie) and read in the past. I'll probably get through it at some point.
A Satyr's Tale: Selby and Darius(10.1)
This one is just too much sex for sex's sake. Again, I have to be the in the right mood to read this. Obviously not the same mood as Hunger Games ;)
The First Full Moon
Interesting shapeshifter m/m romance. I've just been distracted lately and got a little burnt out on m/m.
Special Forces - Soldiers
Intense and edgy m/m book. I'm just not in the right mindset to read more of this one right now, either.
Cethe(5.4)
I'm reading this, chapter by slow chapter. It's interesting, just a very long book and I do get distracted easily.
Lover Enshrined(15.2)
Rereading this one also for the JR Ward group re-read. My least favorite BDB book, but I'm getting through it.
I have several books out from the library. Some I've finished. Some I haven't cracked open yet. I also have a hold on a few books, Full Dark No Stars (25.4) on Playaway being one of them. Audio books take me so much longer to read, but I figure that since it is all short stories, I could listen while doing chores or cleaning.
hoping to finish up the audiobook of Room today, as well as finish reading Band of Brothers: E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne from Normandy to Hitler's Eagle's Nest - also working on Dead Dry; While My Sister Sleeps; Halfway to the Grave; and Marked - holy Book ADD batman!
Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "hoping to finish up the audiobook of Room today, Room was a difficult book for me to read....very disturbing, but like a train wreck you had to keep going back......

I second this. I really liked Room and would have liked to listen to the audiobook. It was such a haunting narrative
i really liked room, but then i'm also psychology major and working on my phd in it, so it was interesting from that aspect. i'm glad i listened to the audio - i don't know if i could have appreciated Jack's point of view just reading it (if that makes sense)

I think I will set aside The Book Thief for awhile. I borrowed it from the library and will not finish it in time before it is due. I think I am going to read Midnight Pearls: A Retelling of "The Little Mermaid" to finish 30.6 and then I am determined to finish Outlander for 20.10. I also started Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for 5.2 which I need to finish and I have had Undaunted sitting around for a couple of months that was a Goodreads giveaway that I want to read.
Currently listening to Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague in the car and reading The Silver Swan and The Last Unicorn.
I'm reading The Alchemist for 5.10 and Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption for 25.3
Just started Mr. Chartwell by Rebecca Hunt (task 10.5) and I think it's going to live up to all the glowing reviews. Am also listening to Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders(20.9). Both are engaging and great reads!
I'm trying not to read Agent X by Noah Boyd too fast. So far it is so good- a protagonist along the lines of Lee Child's Jack Reacher or Robert Crais's Joe Pike, but with more humor. Plenty of action, but not quite as dark as those two. The Bricklayer introduced Steve Vail
I am reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and A Wrongful Death which I did not know was part of a series but I am following the story so far.
I always have an audiobook and a print book on the read. Right now I'm listening to Outlander for the group read and reading Nevermore to fulfill 20.8. I am surprised at how much I am loving the Outlander book! I'm addicted! I'm about half way through & my laundry is going to be all caught up which is a miracle around here! - listening while I work! I must get the next in the series, Dragonfly in Amber - does anyone have any ideas where I could fit it in to the challenge? I won't be able to finish the challenge as I hope to if I keep reading these super-long books; but if I can at least count it somehow..So, back to my laundry - and OUTLANDER!
you could always fit dragonfly into mrs soule's task - since she is a nurse/doctor in that one...but fyi - you'll want to have book 3 lined up and ready to go at the end of book 2, cliff-hanger hell
I'm amazed at the endless book selections and reading lists that have been posted. Our mission is to help people start book clubs where the ultimate shared journey can take place. To that end We'd like to invite everyone to give some thought to who they would like to include in a book club if they had the ability to start one. If you have doubts about the methods or possible formats available for book clubs, simply visit the experts @ www.readingbetweenthewines.ca The authors have presented a easy and fun "how-to" along with a collection of memoir stories.
I am currently multi-tasking with The Paris Wife (a fun read for any fellow fans of Hemingway and Hadley's Paris years; Sarum (historical fiction -- a creative take on the history of Stonehenge and ancient England); and Leslie Marmon Silko's The Turquoise Ledge: A Memoir. I'm on a historical fiction kick lately, but I'm looking for other (fiction) novels to balance out my reading selection.
Thanks Dee for the idea and for the warning. Thankfully, my library is well stocked on the audio version of the entire series. Since I am not a patient person, I am not good with cliffhangers! I am almost done with Outlander now - I've been into it all day long! I just wish there wasn't so much smut in it though - I have to pay close attention to what is going on so my kids don't accidentally overhear something they shouldn't!

I just downloaded The Paris Wife on my Kindle along with several others now I can't decide what to start first. Thanks for the motivating comment.
I have been slogging through The Thorn Birds for 20.8 and I JUST CANNOT TAKE ANY MORE!I've gotta change to a different book. This is the sixth time I've started this book since it came out in 1977 and I still can't hack it. Ralph and Meggie and crew will have to move on without me.
