I finished listening to The Bishop's Man, which was a real Yawner. Too bad as the premise was promising. I've now started listening to Prince Caspian for the second half of Task 15.10. I'm really enjoying the Narnia series. Wish I'd read them as a kid. I would have loved them then.
I'm also reading The Children's Book, which is very detailed but in a good way, and Ironweed.
I love the Narnia books - they were the first ones I read by myself growing up - I think I was about 7 or 8...like that they are re-doing the movies now - Voyage of the Dawn Treder is supposed to be out either this month or next monthPetra wrote: "I finished listening to The Bishop's Man, which was a real Yawner. -I wasn't very keen on Dime Store Magic which surprised me when I've loved the others I've read so far including the continuing story in book 4 Industrial Magic. I hope you like the book though! I hope to get on to Haunted later this week...

The magic and talking animals and being Queen of a magical Land would have been very appealing to me at a younger age.

I'm reading dead witch walking and dead to the world. Not sure if they will fit into any task but wanted to read them. I'm also re-reading the hobby but that's just if I don't have anything else I want to read at the moment
I just finished reading At Home by Bill Bryson which covers everything from attics to sewers and arsenic to vitamins and a lot in between. I really enjoyed it. I've just started Uncommon Arrangements: Seven Portraits of Married Life in London Literary Circles 1910-1939 by Katie Roiphe.

Reading Haunted by Kelley Armstrong which has been much better than Dime Store Magic. Will be finishing this one tonight!

I finished "Memoirs of A Geisha" and I am starting "The Help"
reading Little Bee as my last book...its ok...i like the stuff told her Little's Bee's perspective so far, but not liking Sarah...i'm about half-way done
I'm reading Spirit Bound since my library finally got it in and I also just got Full Dark, No Stars which has been calling my name all day.
Reading They Fought Like Demons: Women Soldiers in the Civil War to complete the 50-point task, and listening to Witness in Death to complete #25.1

I checked[book:The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks out fromt he library last Saturday, I'm looking forward to reading it, heard a lit of good things about it.

Just finished Storm Front. Solid 1st book in a series about a wizard for hire. I'll be reading more of this series, for sure. This is how B&N gets me every time. They gave Storm Front away for free on the Nook. Now I'll be buying the rest of the series ;o). Smart... Dang it...Starting In Cold Blood: A True Account of a Multiple Murder and Its Consequences now.

I finished Haunted and Broken which I enjoyed, and then struggled my way through Friday Night Bites.

I definitely need to read book one Dee...too many books and too little time!Tonight I read Vampire Knight, Volume 1 by Matsuri Hino (樋野 まつり) for task 15.1. It's not yet 1am so there are another couple of hours for my next read...Raven Queen by Pauline Francis.
it might help you with the world building to read book one...how she became a vamp...I would have been completely lost if i'd pick it up at book 2

I put Christine Feehan into the Literature Map (for 15.5) and Jim Butcher came up. Glad I finally got the chance to read it.
Oops I'm confusing everyone! I did read Some Girls Bite earlier this year. The book one I was going on about was still Storm Front!DOH! Homer Simpson moment...

it was a free Goodreads giveaway and not sure how I feel about it yet. The way it is written is not my favorite. written with an old style but has some modern in it too. I just want one writing style on it not both.
Tonight I get started on The Red Badge of Courage and will probably read I'm the Vampire, That's Why later tonight.

Haha I didn't even think of that...except there is only two guys...I wonder which one though. The second is a girl with her hands on her hips. (She is probably just jealous.)

I'm reading it for tast 15.5, I had put in Stephanie Meyer but I don't think I'll become a fan of Sara Sheppard, still undetermined though I think it really hinges on how she ends this book. I mainly do not like it because I can't stand books that jump around a lot, some jumping is ok but this is too much!

You must be a mind reader! I read it right through last night and boy did I cry at the end! I'm such a soft touch! Using this one for the Fall back task-30.8 I think? So will read the rest of Betrayed today and tonight to finish another task.
sounds like a good plan!i'm getting caught up on some books, I couldn't fit into challenges or that fit, but i'd already read books for them, since I finished
it needs to be saturday, so I can start planning for next challenge!!
I'm desperate to see the new tasks appearing as well! I'm a bit OCD about my books so I LOVE the planning stage!
I'm reading The Hourglass Door for 30.2. I should be able to finish 30.2 and 30.3 by the end of the challenge.I'm excited to start planning for the next challenge as well.
