Brian O'Sullivan | 44 comments Hi, bit of an unusual question and I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask. I've published a number of books that I only sell from my own website. Is it possible to put a direct link in the 'Get A Copy' section of the book on Goodreads. Some of these will previously ave been sold through the usual ebookstores but some are unique to my site.

Thank you.

lethe | 16359 comments Hi Brian, the Get a Copy links are added on a per-user basis, not on a per-book basis.

In other words, readers pick their own links, and they will choose those that are of most use to them. Typically, they are online bookstores offering a large selection of books, and/or libraries.

One author's website is too limited for a Get a Copy link.

Every book record does have a URL field where a link can be added, but there are some restrictions:
1) the URL must link to that specific book, not to a general homepage, and
2) the page should offer extra information about the book that is not found on Goodreads, f.e. a preview, an interview with the author, artwork, etc. A page with mere to-buy links is not enough.

As alternatives, you can add to-buy links to your author profile and your review space on each book.
