I think I can be a good fit for you as I love YA fantasy and read Manga.
I am passionate on dissecting and analyzing characters, world-building (even if it's not Fantasy), prose and voice, plot and general enjoyment.
I would be honored to work with you on this project. I love the concept of using Japanese culture in a YA book. I’ve loved Manga since high school. I’m 34 now so it’s been an obsession for a hot minute haha. I’ve also been a freelance editor and beta reader since 2008. Hi J.L.If you still need a beta reader/editor I might be a good fit for your project. I've spent significant time studying the Japanese language and culture and am reasonably well-versed in Japanese novels and mystery stories. One of my all-time favorite authors is Haruki Murakami; I'm also an avid amine fan.

Also, if you need a good resource for learning about Japanese culture, I highly recommend the NHK series 'Japanology' - they have hundreds of episodes and you can find them all for free on youtube :)

My first language is English but i'm currently living in Japan and learning the language (I've had a fascination with this country, its culture and its history for YEARS), love me some good manga and anime, and I'd love to know more about your project to see if we would be a good fit.

Hi Jess, just wanted to check in and ensure that i haven't missed any emails from you, if you did send them! If you are still editing - well i understand how long that can take, of course. Hey everyone - I'm closing this thread but I wanted to thank you all for responding to my request. I met some awesome people that share my interests and have really inspired me to keep writing. And I now have a list of beta readers I'm looking forward to working with in the future.
