SOLVED. Child lit - boy moves to country, builds things with junk [s]

Request for help from my friends who deal with older kid lit. "My cousin sent me this message trying to locate a book. I have no clue. Any ideas?...The main character, a boy, moves from the city to the country. Lots of junk where he lived in the city. He likes to build things. At their new farm in the country, there is vivid, detailed description of junk in the barn. Junk, precious junk he can use to build. I think his name started with the letter M."
