Attention Animal Farmers:

For the final week of October, we will be concluding this Orwellian classic. All members are expected to respond to the following prompts:

1. Which character would you like to meet? Why?

2. Describe a real-world animal farm to you.

3. Are you satisfied with the story's ending? Why?

He that I Am 1. Snowball - I want to know his real intentions and if he was going to be thorough leader. It was understood throughout the text that he spoke well and was able to get the animals to agree with him after speeches. I also want to know how he felt about Napoleon switching up on the animals the way he did. SMH.

2. A real world animal farm- I would have to say one could be the United States of America. If you dig deep and really read this book analytically, this story correlates with slavery and oppression. The animals couldn't really read, just like some "slaves" and there were leaders like Napoleon that had hidden agendas to use others ignorance to propel themselves to positions of power. I could go on and on about various situations throughout history-- but I think the idea I'm getting at here is somewhat clear.

3. Absolutely NOT. I wanted snowball to come back, gather the animals to REBEL, LOCK those dogs up, and overthrow Napoleon. Then eventually work toward getting back to old majors ideas of how animals should live. "4 legs good, 2 legs bad," All animals are equal, and so on and so forth....I WAS SO TIGHT at the ending lol.
