Sandra | 25911 comments Not quite, but at least I have the landline (phone) & internet of a sort back.

Still need to repair the desktop ethernet connection. Luckily I bought a laptop the other week or I'd still be off-air :)

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) | 2441 comments It was fun talking with you and reading reviews. I am not sure if my Kindle freebie pile decreased in size, but at least those I added were read by you, so they should be good. Right?

I hope we will meet in some next Bingo again. I will definitely join, if I don't miss the sign up. :)

Creation in Death (In Death, #25) by J.D. Robb

Read: 9/12/14
Rated: 5 Stars

My Review: It never fails to surprise me how fresh these books feel, even now we are at book 25 in the series plus a handful of novella's and the characters still remain true to themselves, the cases remain fresh even though the technical processes are familiar. This case takes us back nine years as a serial killer who Eve first met as she worked under Feeney's tutelage resurfaces. It opens up a lot of old wounds as they deal with their previous failure in finding the killer, it does make them even more determined to bring him to justice this time around.

Reading the In Death books is like spending time with good friends, I love catching up with all the characters and Roarke remains in my top 3 literary males of all time.

Stay safe, Sandra!

Sandra | 25911 comments Thanks Michelle, I've still got to write my review yet :(

Hopefully the thunderstorms are gone so everything should go well for Christmas.

Speaking of which, Merry Christmas to all those that celebrate :)

Sandra | 25911 comments Primal Instinct (Pendragon Gargoyles 0.5) by Sydney Somers
Shelf: P
Date: 8/12/14
Rating: ★★★★

A very interesting take on shifters. They are gargoyles during the day if they aren't mated. We also have a flavour of King Arthur & Avalon, Excalibur and the associated myths.

Elina doesn't know she's a Pendragon Gargoyle, as she's never shifted. Her father has basically ignored her as he's a jerk who thinks she is worthless. Until she starts showing signs of shifting. Her dad, Dalton, is a bad, bad man.

Ryder is a Pendragon Gargoyle wolf, and he wants revenge against Dalton for slaughtering his sister & nephews about 50 yrs ago. He inveigles himself into Elina's life not realising she is his mate.

It was a pleasure reading with you ladies, hope Santa is good to you all, and hoping that all the kidlets are now well and thriving.
