Thanks so much for preordering - that's a big help with getting the book noticed. Hope you enjoy it!

Did you ever reveal the two people in the prologue of the Glenister Papers? I started reading it again before the release of the new novella.

To say more would be spoiler territory. It's a major revelation for the direction of the series. But there's one line i the Prologue that's a big clue...

Thanks so much, Patti! Pre-orders help with a book's ranking, which helps get it show up for other perspective readers.

It won't be clear in the novella but it should be in the next novel. I do think it's possible to figure out, but it requires thinking way outside the box. The reveal will definitely change the direction of the series.

I've preordered!Tracy, do you know how books get into Goodreads? I'd love to put the novella on my Want to Read shelf, but it's not available. I've seen some other books there before their publication date.

Thanks so much for pre-ordering, Petra! And thanks for asking about GoodReads. I'm not totally sure, but I suspect the GoodReads librarians need to add them to the site. My books usually show up on GR a bit after they're up for pre-order.
I'll post when Midwinter's is up on GR. Just like the pre-orders help a book's rankings, people adding it on GR helps it get noticed.

There are at least two ways books get added to Goodreads--probably more. I don't know much (anything) about the automated way, but authors can add their books if they aren't already listed. Tracy, if you want to list it rather than waiting for the system, you can go to your author dashboard and click on "add book" which is at the top right of your list of books. Either providing the title will result in it showing up as an option to link (helps if the title is unique) or you can provide enough information. I suspect if it shows up at some point after pre-order, there's an upload of some type either from the publisher or from Amazon.

I went back and took another look at the prologue and I have a guess, but on the off chance I happen to be right I'd hate to have spoiled a surprise for anyone else!

Tracy wrote: "I'm intrigued! Do you want to email me at tracygrant.org with your guess?"Sure! I'll do that.
First thing this morning I saw an email that A Midwinter's Masquerade is now available on my Kindle. :)Happy book birthday, Tracy!
Oh cool! Very glad you all have it and impressed that you finished, Kim! I am going to start an open discussion thread since it's short and a lot of people will probably read it quickly
