With the civilization-destroying solar flare turned back, the intelligent Cats of space station Stardust take time off to visit a grateful Earth. While there, they discover that a much larger danger waits for them on the Moon. They must find their way to the Moon on their own, with Earth's economy unable to support their efforts. And for reasons even they only dimly understand, the real reason for the mission must remain secret.
