Marty Lawrence | 2 comments Written in late 70’s to mid 80’s worldwide plague caused by scientist same scientist must come up with the cure. Tight deadline with many hurdles to cross. Trouble convincing powers that be of ability to solve problem created by the one solving it. I keep wanting to say Long John Silver also something about vote none of the above. Was reading Joan Diddeon, Paul Theroux, Vonnegut type stuff at the time maybe silver to shimmering light blue paperback cover with old sailing ship on it. Got a feeling along the read like Burgess Meredith episode of twilight zone, finally has time to read all the books but breaks glasses. Might be female protagonist

Scott The White Plague? I don't remember too many details but I thought I'd throw it in there. I don't think the scientist played any role in curing it as he did it intentionally.

Marty Lawrence | 2 comments The cause was related to a vaccine or drug that cured something like aids but caused something worse.
