Sawyer returns to Oklahoma and reunites with Danny. Your thoughts about his apology? Was it enough? Could you understand why he severed his relationship with Sawyer? Is their relationship forever changed?

This is the part I thought the book was underdeveloped. A flash back with him and Trina and with the falling out with Danny would have made me feel more connected with Sawyers fear of losing Ethan as a friend if he and Carmela didn’t work out.

Again, you’ve nailed the issue, Laura. We weren’t given enough to truly understand why Danny turned on him so bad and what Trina actually did to him.

When Danny came back at the end it really didn’t mean much to me at that point.

It felt hollow. They needed a much bigger scene. But, I was glad he tried to salvage the relationship.

I agree. We really didn't have enough information to understand what went wrong with Trina and why her entire family turned on Sawyer. I would have liked so much more. This scene fell kind of flat for me.

That whole sub-plot could have been better developed especially since that was the foundation for Sawyer's fear about a relationship with Carmela. I give Danny props for seeking Sawyer out and apologizing, but I don't think that relationship will ever be repaired. Sometimes things just don't work out and Sawyer's breakup with Trina was bound to have consequences.
