The ghost that joe sees in the night, from his bedroom window. . Who or what do you think it represented?

I think it was his imagination. I loved the book, though.

I thought it was a spiritual representation of Joe from the future. Trying to warn joe not to embark on the 'hunt' for his mothers attacker. The anger, the hatred, the very hunt itself would age and forever change joe, his spirit from the future was coming to try and warn him at that pivotal moment
