Sheila | 15 comments Just thought I'd check Amazon, since the countdown is getting closer to zero, and found our favorite book now listed available for pre-order!

Ronda (shamrk317) | 9 comments Sorry, I mean to post this last week, the day after Karey said she had put it on there. It was there that day. I actually had a friend bookmark it so she can come back and maybe get it. No she did not read it online.

Here's an update: I'm using a different printing option with Amazon, so actually the image might not be there temporarily. Sorry.

I'm still waiting for the proof before I give the go ahead for the books to be printed, so it'll be just a while longer! But not much. Since Secret Speakers is a twist on The Wizard of Oz, it absolutely has to come out on or before their 70th anniversary date of September 23!

It will definitely be available to order tomorrow on my website, but shipping will be delayed until the books are printed...sometime next week. I'm sure working on it. I just heard back from the printer a few minutes ago and they need me to rework something.

I've been up since 4:00 a.m. and last week wasn't much different. Right now I'm going to upload the audiobook for reproduction and sale. I sure wish I had a secretary!

And Tera, your Kindle (and you other folks that won them), I'll be ordering them tomorrow, so that'll be fun!

Tera hmmm should I give my library your website or Amazons to order it then? Initially I had linked them up through Amazon.

Actually, the books are printing up first through an Amazon channel, so bookstores can't order from them. They use Ingram's Catalog, an online resource.

I'm almost done getting that account set up and it takes two weeks to go through. So, once that's done, the bookstore thing can happen.

By the way Tera, I ORDERED THE KINDLES TODAY! So now you'll be able to enjoy it for your vacation in October, lucky girl.

You winners will have them next week with a little surprise included.

When you get them, you'll need to waltz on over to Amazon.com and register your Kindle as an active account since you received it as a gift.

Tera Sweet! My poor librarians i've been hounding them. I also realize I know the librarian in my son's school and I think this would be a great book for the kids to get in school. He's a middle schooler so I'm going to get her started on that too.
It's been so fun to be part of this process Karey. What a generous author to allow her readers so much participation. Its a nice change.

Just to let you all know things are still moving along! I'm chipping away every day at the very long list.

Weldon, it was interesting to hear your insight on the Wizard versus Narnia topic.

Ronda (shamrk317) | 9 comments Karey, It is well worth the wait. The second book will also be well worth the wait. We have faith in you.
I didn't realize you were doing a self publish of your book. That is so great. I checked out your website earlier today. You have done a great job with it.

Thanks, Ronda. I had no idea it would be such hard work, but it's finally coming together.

Ronda just told me that she saw Secret Speakers on the shelves at Deseret Book. I nearly fell off my chair when I read that. It hardly seems real.

Ronda (shamrk317) | 9 comments It was great seeing it there. You are right it has been a lot of hard work for you. I know you think it was all worth it. :-)
