Heidi | 6 comments I don’t remember much sadly. She walks into a store and sees a guys stocking the selves with maple syrup thinking he is just an employee at the end she finds out he and his family make the maple syrup and is well known. I know it’s based somewhere in the United States and I believe there is a mystery along with the romance. All the books I find with my searches is wrong as the girl is usually the syrup maker. I read it maybe 10 years ago.

Heidi, what's the tone - e.g., romantic, mystery, cozy mystery, angsty, steamy/clean, funny, etc.?

What do remember about the mystery?

Is this book for older adults or teens (young adults)?

What is the heroine's job/skills/interests?

Heidi | 6 comments Modern romance for adults. I don’t really remember what the heroine did. I believe it was a series, but each book was a different heroine. It could have been romantic suspense. The love interest I believe was tall and big and had a beard brown hair. I don’t know if this was from this story or a different one. A little girl was kidnapped and they found her in a cabin in the mountains and try to keep her safe. I really don’t have very much details, hence why I’m having a hard time finding the book. In the other book I believe the love interest was a blonde guy with no beard. I think the heroine was taken and put into a home that she escapes from. I don’t think these books are super dark or anything.

What did the books in this series have in common?

Something from the Maple Syrup Mysteries by Emily James (e.g., Murder on Tap has a missing child).

Heidi | 6 comments I think the heroines knew each other and I believe it was on the mideast, eastern side of the United States. Maple syrup I don’t believe was in the other book. They didn’t know who the little girl was so it can’t be the murder on tap. Also it was the love interest that was the maple syrup maker not the heroine. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Heidi | 6 comments I haven’t had a chance to read it fully, but I don’t believe this is the book as his mom left him and from what I remember his mom was still in the picture. The book sounds good so if nothing else I have another book to look forward to.
