I am also a fan of the Poirot series. The book you mentioned by David Suchet sounds exciting. When I went to Amazon to buy it, I was surprised at the sticker price - $165. That was disappointing to me.

I just finished a Sherlock Holmes pastiche - was so very bad that I would prefer not to mention the title.
Oddly enough, two of my better reads of '22 were also Holmes pastiches, "Sherlock Holmes and the Eye of Heka" by David Marcum and "A Man Named Baskerville" by Jim Nelson. The latter was self published and much better than many traditionally published novels I've read.

That's strange. On the UK Amazon site, the book is just £2.99 on Kindle and £11.44 in paperback so don't know why it would be so expensive on what I assume from your pricing is the American site?

I read The Dutch House last year, liked it.

The last book I read was Koontz's Hideaway (reviewed under 'My Books') and I've just started Kellerman's A Cold Heart. Koontz is such a good writer that I've been spoiled, hence my 3/5 star review. I'm a sucker for Milo in Kellerman's Alex Delaware books, but this one seems heavily focused on Petra, who was my one nit with Billy Straight: the story's POV wasn't limited to the titular Billy; it was Petra's story, too. I wanted more Billy, less Petra, but it is what is is. Poo.

So, one possibly unfair strike against A Cold Heart, but it's early yet. We'll see how it all pans out.

Just finished reading All the King’s Men by Robert Penn Warren and posted a review. Presently, I am doing what I have not done for a very long time- avidly perusing two memoirs in tandem:Spare( Prince Harry) and Open(Andre Agassi). The interesting thing is that both were written by the same ghostwriter with a gorgeous style of writing.
