Tamara Agha-Jaffar | 425 comments I read Memento Mori by Muriel Spark.
A group of elderly people receive anonymous phone calls reminding them they're going to die. The novel wasn't at all bleak or morbid. It was humorous, with authentic characters, and wonderful dialogue.

Molly | 4 comments Currently reading Machine by Elizabeth Bear.
Set far in the future, a spaceship that works as an ambulance finds two ships that are interlocked together. One is very old, one is newer, each holding species that are not compatible (meaning if exposed to each other, they would both die). The story is surrounding the mystery of why they are connected and how it came to be. Really interesting, though I've been reading it fairly slowly. It isn't my typical genera, but I'm still enjoying it!

Daniel Martin | 10 comments Recently finished Calvino's: Mr. Palomar Mr Palomar
I thought it was wonderfully profound and insightful little bits of fictional phenomenology and contemporary philosophy but in the form of a man's life and observations, brief but poignant!

Currently reading Rothfuss': The Wise Man's Fear The Wise Man's Fear
I am constantly torn between putting it aside so that I can finish it closer to the release of the final King Killer Chronicle installation or plowing through it because the story and its characters are amazing and make you beg for more with every one of its 1,000 pages!

Also just finished final edits to my next book: Alethea's Dreams Alethea's Dreams
I started sending out ARC's to my readers today! Wish me luck <3

J.E. Park | 10 comments Not my usual genre at all but caught a quip of Red Morning Child by Michael Asselin and loved the writing style. It is dark, creepy and paints a very vivid picture of an morbid fantasy world. I am enjoying it very much so far.

Wait. Maybe, "enjoying" is the wrong word. Maybe a more accurate description would be, "collecting an entirely new dimension's worth of horrific visual pageantry to be tormented by the next time I let hippies feed me a mushroom pizza at a Grateful Dead concert."
