What are you currently reading (or just finished)?
Just finished A Parallel Path by Marco Peel. An interesting story about two pilgrims connecting spiritually across seven centuries.
I recently finished reading Bernard Cornwell’s novel Death of Kings, the sixth book in his rousing historical fiction series on the birth of England, the Saxon Tales. This series features the adventures of the fictional Uhtred of Bebbanburg, an untamed Saxon-born warrior raised by Danes who must confront conflicting loyalties as the Saxons and Danes battle for control of a disunited England. I am currently reading the seventh book in the series, The Pagan Lord, and I would highly recommend this series to any who love vividly portrayed, complex, and often morally elastic characters, along with realistic battle action against a historical background. Cornwell is an excellent writer, critically acclaimed, and acknowledged as a master of historical fiction.

I'm rereading Pride & Prejudice, but it's my first time reading it in English (Spanish in my native language) and I'm quite enoying it.
Victoria wrote: "Michael wrote: "I recently finished reading Bernard Cornwell’s novel Death of Kings, the sixth book in his rousing historical fiction series on the birth of England, the Saxon Tales..."I’m glad you enjoyed the first one. I’ve been a fan of Cornwell’s ever since coming across his Richard Sharpe series many years ago.
I just finished The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkinsand now I'm reading Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee

I am nearly finished with 'Blue Horizon', Wilbur Smith, the second book in the Courtney Family saga. My toes are still curled and my senses are still reeling. This man knows how to spin a yarn!

Mister Ed: "Don't yell at me, Wilbur, I'm not your wife."
I got River God second hand at a library sale back in the late 90s and still remember particular scenes from that book. His writing is fast-paced and vivid.
I am waiting for the books I order by Beth Kerry. I read Because You Are Mine by her and really liked it. I'm always looking for new authors to read while waiting for my favorite ones to finish their next work.
For myself: Fluent in 3 Months: How Anyone at Any Age Can Learn to Speak Any Language from Anywhere in the World (HIGHLY recommend. Should be required for all language classes)For English Class: A Tale of Two Cities (better than Great Expectations, not as good as A Christmas Carol)
The City's Son
Rich and evocative fantasy. The spirits of old London, the true hearts of the bricks and wharfs and incandescent lamps band together to hold back the sprawl of glass and steel. Sounds strange and it is strangely endearing, this fight for what we remember.
I've finnished Jessi's Secret Language, plus read both Poppy Finds a Home and Curefinder. Now I'm about to start reading Nicky and the Lost Star.
Over the weekend, I finnished reading Nicky and the Lost Star by Alessandra Nadudvari, read The Entirely Strange and Miraculously True Tails of MIA and Eve: The Kittens Go to Market by Rob Duder, and then started The Forever Queen by Nicola S. Dorrington.
If you like historical fiction, you MUST read Ariel Lawhon's novel "Flight of Dreams". 5 stars, exciting, amazing, perfect!!! Here's my full review http://drchazan.blogspot.com/2016/03/...
Currently reading: Never Too Much by Lori Foster: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I...And also this one... I mean, who doesn't love a hero with an accent!? http://www.donnakauffman.com/badboysk...
After these two are finished, I will dive into Fat Girl Skinny by Amye Archer - I won this copy from her!! (http://www.amyearcher.com)
And: Elisabeth is Missing by Emma Healey! (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...)
Susan wrote: "Wow Victoria, you've been busy!"I tend to read a lot as a rule anyway, since my time is mainly spent either writing or reading. But it also helped that most of those books weren't very long, so I could easily read a couple of them each day.
I am trying to delay the last fifty pages of this brilliant fantasy series that has stolen my heart. It's the perfect blend of darkness and bright light.
