Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments This week I read two amazing books. So, here's what I read, along with my book reviews.

Eradication
by Charles E. Yallowitz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
OK, WOW! If it wasn't for my reading time being more limited this week, I could have totally read this book in one sitting! It's an amazing addition to
the series, which was a gripping read. It has an exciting plot, which alternates between being an action-packed thrill ride and an emotional rollercoaster,
with some delightful moments of comedy thrown in to give you a moment to catch your breath. The way these characters are evolving is wonderful, and I can't
wait to see what will happen next.

Grinders
by C.S. Boyack
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is another amazing book by this author. The characters are relatable and believable people, the plot is fantastic, and the worldbuilding is incredible.
It has an extremely satisfying ending too. Not to mention, it's an interesting glimpse in to possible future technological and scientific advances, as
well as being a subtle but powerful reminder of where we might be heading if we don't start making wiser choices and taking care of our planet. All those
elements, combined with the author's wonderful writing, make for an excellent read, which I have no hesitation at all in recommending.

Gracie | 4 comments A Long Way Down
by Jason Reynolds
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I just finished reading A Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. Oh. My. Word. That book really needs a sequel! When the author finished the book without letting me know if Will found and killed the guy that shot Shawn, I almost screamed! It felt as if I wasn't really finishing the book...When I did put the book, I also began to think about how good the story was. I will admit, though, that I was expecting there to be paragraphs of words to read and not have everything written in poetic form. I really did like the book and Jason Reynolds is amazing! If you like suspense, mystery, murder, poetry, and a variety of characters to get to know, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this amazing and wonderful book to you.

V.M. Sang (aspholessaria) | 230 comments I've just finished Cotula by Debbie Manber Kuyper. It is book 5 in her P.A.W.S. saga, It is a YA fantasy tale, set in the present-day world. A tale of shapeshifters, animagi and werewolves, it continues the story begun in P.A.W.S. and continued in the other three books.
I enjoyed the story and liked the characters, which are well-drawn. The main criticism I have is that the editing is far from perfect. I found a lot of things that should have been picked up. The author credits an editor, but a lot of errors slipped through that should have been picked up in the edit.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments I just have one review for you this week, and here it is:

The Animals of Farthing Wood
by Colin Dann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Having loved the animated TV series for this when I was younger, and also heard snippets of the story when my brother was listening to it on audio when
we were young, I was eager to actually read the whole book. I was not disappointed. It was just as good as I thought it would be; as good as the TV series,
if not better. Only the fact I limited myself to how many chapters I could read at a time before bed stopped me devouring the book in one go. I highly
recommend this book, and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments This week I read two books. So, here's what I read, along with my reviews.

Survive
by Vera Nazarian
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If I could give this more than five stars, I totally would! I've been dying to read this one ever since finishing the other three books in the series,
and can tell you it was well worth the wait. It's a long book, but needs to be; it's just the right length to tell the part of the story it needs to tell.
I was torn between being desperate to know what happens, so wanting to keep reading until I was done, and wanting to take my time with it so I could spend
as long as possible with the characters. The worldbuilding is incredible, the descriptions are beautiful, the characters are well-rounded (and it's great
to see how they've developed as the series has progressed) and the plot moves at a perfect pace. The series as a whole is awesome, and this book is the
perfect ending to it, even if part of me wishes there was more, just so I could spend more time in the world, and with the characters - especially Aeson.

The Law of Three and Other Relationships
by Barbara G. Tarn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is another great collection of sweet stories by this author.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 2898 comments This week I only read one book, because it was quite a long one. So, here's what I read, along with my book review.

Outlander
by Diana Gabaldon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I'm glad I decided to go with the audio version of this, because I dread to think how hard it would have been to read most of it with a screen reader of
some kind. It took some getting used to even with the audio version... Enough that I very nearly deducted a star for it. However, since apart from the
Scottish dialect taking a bit to get used to, I loved this book, I'm giving it the full five stars. The historical aspects were fascinating, and the characters
were interesting. I look forward to the next book.
