Getting near the end of The Blood, third in the Jem Flockhart series, by E. S. Thomson and just over 200 pages into Stephen King's The Outsider.
Highly recommend the Flockhart series, if you haven't read them.

Kami Garcia wrote a series, first book is called Unbreakable, I think? I'm sorry, I'm awful with titles and names of characters and...I'm sorry!
But it wasn't bad! The only catch is that she never published a 3rd book, because of course the publisher wanted a trilogy instead of a duo but then decided not to keep going, because it didn't sell well....
And there's definitely a cliffhanger.

I finished Eowyn Ivey's To The Bright Edge of the World inspired by the real life journey of Lieutenant Colonel Allen Forrester through Alaska’s unchartered territory in the 1880s. The narrative unfolds through journal entries, diaries, artifacts, newspaper clippings, etc. It is unique in many ways. I ended up loving it.

Finished Till we have Faces by C.S. Lewis. Lewis uses the myth of Cupid and Psyche as a vehicle to explore human love and love for the divine. Can be read as an allegory.

Read "Beartown" for my book club, and almost finished with Peter Carey's "Jack Maggs" an early Victorian era thriller - has sort of the same vibe as the series "Taboo."

I have just finished The Boy on the Beach by Andrew Blair.
I thought it was excellent. I like characters that are not black and white and in this book no one is completely good and even the bad guys have a back story to explain why they are bad.
I like moral dilemmas too and this book asks questions about revenge and obsession.
I really liked it and hope there is a follow up.

Just finished Beneath the Earth by R.S. Stone. It is a fast-paced thriller with a cute romance towards the end. Nothing makes me more excited than a main character who is brave and intelligent! Towards the middle part of the book, it was impossible to put down. You feel the thrill and the anxiety of what is beneath the earth.
