Rodger Carty | 4 comments Francis MalkaErasing Emily

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The characters were real, their actions and reactions plausible.
The story explores the legal side of conscious artificial intelligences gaining legal status as individuals in a high stakes court battle.
I much prefer happy endings, and this delivered.

Benji | 15 comments Re~Reading East La.
Times, names they all changed, but the soul of the varrio well that stayed the same. Time flies stories etched over murals of ghosts they never met. Friends & family are gone too soon. Old loves new crushed. Old feuds, family drama. Loved ones' souls glancing down. Hoping we choose the right route, not get jumped through the alley that smells like piss.

Redemption of the wrongfully accused, framed for a crime, they couldn't catch one of us committing. Love bird antics… Unsilenced words leak poetry from a ruca’s lips. The lies, the lust, the hell of all of it…

Maybe we could laugh about it, that maybe one day they would paint a mural of us on these walls after we are long gone. Or maybe our stories leave like dust in the wind. You'd feel the presence but not know the being...

“In the end, homes It's really about all the lives we changed for the better. They may not see it now, but our actions, not our names, will be remembered through this barrio. For how we made things better, not worse for our people.”
