Ariel Jasmine Kernik was born to the King and Queen of the Angelic Realm. She has one older brother who she adores. She is very much the beloved younger child. When Ariel was 3 years old, she fell off a balcony when her nursemaid was not looking. She broke her left wing and since then it has been weaker than the other. She is unable to fly long distances because of this.

Despite this disability, Ariel is a cheerful child. She loves to sit in the garden and help the gardeners. They set aside a small part of the garden for her to grow what ever she wanted. She also enjoys playing the flute, clarinet and piano. Her music can often be heard throughout the castle or the gardens.
