That is really interesting if things have changed. I do remember posts in Feedback with people not wanting block messages at all or being overwhelmed with huge numbers of them.
I might ask in the Moderators' Group if any other moderator has noticed a change.

Under your Account Settings you can choose what notifications and emails/messages you want to receive.
For example under Events you can choose to get (or not) email messages from anyone who comments on a review; adds you as a friend; invites you to answer a poll ... If you don't choose to receive a message/email for any of the listed events, you won't get a message.
Under Comments and Action Notifications is where you can choose what form of notification you receive. Example you may receive notifications and/or messages on any activity or comment you have made in GR.
Further down is the Group Preferences settings. Here you can opt to receive emails/messages in various forms and frequencies and/or notifications or none of the aforementioned group by group. If you select none for any group you will receive neither messages nor notifications relating to that group. That will include group messages sent by email.

I do remember discussion in Feedback that the block messages were separate. With Feedback now closed I can't link to it.
I have selected none for most of my groups & still get block messages for BLK & Turning Pages. Women's Classic Literature may have changed to sending individual messages, but they certainly lock like block messages If Reading the Detectives ever sends block messages I don't get those.
This is a very buggy site. I believe (but don't know for a fact) that because I'm a very heavy user I pick up more bugs.

So I went and checked my settings for this group and I've got notifications only selected, but I still get your group emails therefore it would seem your memory is good that block emails are separate. It's a nuisance that you can't go back to the Feedback Group threads now.

Sorry if you didn't receive the block message Teresa.

And my format bounces around, too, and honestly I don't think it's all me!

This is what 2020 group reads looks like now
January month off
Feb False Colours
March Frederica
Apr The Black Sheep
May Cousin Kate
June Charity Girl
July Lady of Quality
Aug Discussion of all GH's Regency books & how reading them in order went for each of us
Sept Month off
Oct The Black Moth
Nov These Old Shades
Dec Devil's Cub
plus we are also reading Georgette Heyer's Regency World I think we are doing that around May/June.
So that is 10 reads in total, plus a discussion in August about how we found reading the Regencies in order. (edited because I can't count)

Earlier you had slotted the Kloester for mid-June to mid-July. How about making that the Sept read?? Makes a nice end point for the Regency reads...

Hi
Sorry I put the date of the Kloester down incorrectly.
I would like to let the decision stand as we did have quite a bit of discussion back in September & I am coming up to my busy time of year. Critterbee & my thoughts were that it would be nice to read the Kloester as a parallel to some of the Regencies.
But anyone who would prefer to read the Kloester can do so & just add their thoughts in September. :)

Try the op shops Lesley- you may find it in a giveaway pile!

OK, I now understand the 'why' of the scheduling. Anyhoo, that is months away. I will be lucky if I actually remember to track down the Kloester book! (I have the J A Hodge "Private World of GH" sitting on my shelf--it is quite delightful, btw.)
