Are there any members here well-versed in the licensing of fonts for ebooks? I have one font I wanted to use (for chapter and titles) where I have the license but as it turns out, it is an otf font and the Kindle only supports ttf fonts.
Anyone know if we are free to use the basic fonts that come packaged with MS Word (as they mostly seem to be ttf)?
You can use all the MS word fonts. You can also by fonts and the license to use them for your book. If you use Adobe Photo shop, you can use those fonts also since you are paying for them. There are sites out there where you can get free fonts, but read the licensing agreement. Some you have to link back to the person, others made them open ware.
