ABANDONED. SCI-FI Dark Comedy. Alien spaceship lands on baseball field and tortures test subjects

The first scene is a baseball player running to catch a ball, but as it gets larger we realize it’s actually a spherical white spaceship landing that crushes him. The aliens kidnap a group of “test subjects” whom they proceed to torture with graphic gladiatorial combat against unbeatable robots. It’s very bloody and the aliens are comically sadistic. One subject attempts to fight a robot with a switchblade, and I think others may escape into the ship to try and control it or stop the games or something. Probably written in the nineties but maybe earlier.
