It's a good book. (I never continued with the series after that one.)
Most of the Anita Blake series could work for one sin or other, at least as far as the cover colours are concerned, sometimes also the tags - specifically Lust.

I might be able to read this one. I don't have it marked as TBR but it's a series I always meant to get back to so....

It was probably one of the better ones. I think that was the first one I read. Her books got...weird.

That's what I heard also, so I never continued. A year or so ago, I revisited the first couple of books and I just do not like Anita's voice anymore. At all. Not after all the brilliant series I read after I started this one.
I do have #10 and #11 sitting on my shelves though... I should probably just get rid of them. It's been 6 years or more since I read Obsidian Butterfly.

My real name is Catarina and I'm from Portugal, in Europe. I've been participating in Tower teams since Tower teams 2, so it's been a while. I'm excited about this one :) not as much as the Harry Potter one, but still excited. And my favorite color is blue so I'm glad I'm in this team xD
And yay an Organized captain :D

Hi everyone! Thanks!
lol E. Eni's been my nickname for... over 15 years? i don't know i lost track lol. And here i don't usually say my real name lol xD so no worries =p

I've been looking on my TBR for books for sin bingo.. and i'm very disappointed. I have loads of blue books that have been there for over 2 years... but none of them are dark fantasy :(

Hard to believe I've made it through 19, some I don't even know why I kept reading!

Clearly!!
And what better time than to do this for TT ;-))

Mmhh, I think around that time I started slowing down as well. I'm not quite sure what made me continue for a bit longer though.
Wow, ST, 19?? Are you ever going to continue or did you stop with the series?

Sorry I'm a little late to the party. This is my first time on a tower team challenge, but I'm really excited to get started.

Which book are you going to start the challenge with? Any plans? Or will it be a decision of the moment? :)
As the page count is rather important, I decided to go for a book that will not work for sin bingo, but is a guilty pleasure doorstopper,

You couldn't have found an easier question, could you :-p
I'm not sure yet which book I'll start with.. as it depends on SOS Bingo shelf calls as well. Something with a lot of pages though.
Maybe I'll go for one of the Sin Bingo options. Maybe I'll just try and start with
and get that big one out of the way right away haha. Though since it's a 1k book, I might just be able to read 1 book that week (I signed up with 2 per week), but I'm sure someone will be able to pick up that slack. :-)

I am going out of town the Friday after the challenge starts and I am not sure how much reading time I will have once I get there.
I have some much longer books on my tbr list that I hope to knock out during this challenge.

WE know sometimes real life gets in the way of the challenge, but if possible, please make sure you keep to the number of books you committed to / per week.
If you know you cannot stick to it, just let us know, so that we can reach a balance. We would like to avoid to get penalized for under/overachieving. :)

Gemma 5/month 1.25/week
Melinda 8/month 2/week
Jammin Jenny 18/month 4.5/week
Nicole P 30/month 7.5/week
Joy 3/month 0.75/week
Stacie 37/m 9.25/week
Rachel 7/m 1.75/week
vianvamp 4/m 1/week
Melissa 6/m 1.5/week
Snowtulip 22/m 5.5/week
Eni 4/m 1/w
Weekly Total for the Team: 38

For all those of you who are going to be away for part of the challenge and may not be able to update while away, please bear in mind that captains have to check in at the end of every week with the number of books read.
So accurate read dates will be important!

You'll be fiiiiiine! :-)
You'll be fiiiiiine! :-)

We'll work it out.

This is the first challenge that I know that has penalties for not reading your goal, so I'll try to read longer books and I'll stick to 1 a week. But if need to I'll read smaller books so we can meet our quota.
I have no idea what to start with. I want to do one of each sin bingo. And if there's time, then focus on sloth books. (forgot how long the challenge lasts *whistles*)

I doubt I can stomach it...however, sometimes challenges make me do it ;)

I will have some very long flights that first week, so I might start with some door stoppers!
If I can't get it in before the start date of this challenge, my first book may very well be
. It arrived in my mail box yesterday and I am itching, itching, itching to read it! It's so pretty and almost 500 pages and I cannot wait :-DD
