Okay, had to put a brief pause on Clockwork Angel to catch up on some of my other books, but I will be back! How are you all enjoying it?

Well I haven't gotten very far in at this stage xD I got sidetracked with other books and only just got back to reading it so unfortunately I've gotten as far as finishing chapter 2. Oops?

I suppose that's what happens when you try and read too many books at once though .-.

Yikes ._. I can't help but feeling really sorry for Jessamine. It's not the life she wants - and not the sort of life that would be good for her. To be honest, it seems as though she never grew up, or something happened that twisted her in some way... she doesn't seem to be quite right in the head...

...Well apparently her heart will stop beating. Is that bad in the long-run for her or just part of her powers to be able to transform so fully into someone that she gains at least some of their powers (such as being alive without a beating heart :P)

The heart-to-heart between Tess and Jem was pretty interesting and I really enjoyed it :) Shame it was interrupted by some clockwork people.

I really want to know what the overarching purpose for the clockwork is :|

Also, what is it truly that's wrong with Jem? Is it some after effect from the from that killed his parents? Heck, maybe he has demon pox as Will is always going on about :P

Will definitely seems to care for Tessa, but I think he's trying to ignore it and push away any feelings due to the bond he has with Jem and the fact that Jem clearly cares about her too.

I'm interested in learning what is behind Tessa's abilities, and what was special about her mum too...

I'm still reading Siege and Storm currently and once I finish that then I'm going to read Ruin and Rising because I need to read them both for a challenge. After Ruin and Rising I should be good to start this one. Or I can read a set number of chapters each day if you want to do that.

i never read any books of the infernal device series or of the mortal instruments series. just saw the movie and it was okay but didn't motivate me to really read any of the books.

Ohh okay gotcha. Yeah the movie sucked. I reread the first 3 book in the mortal instruments earlier this year. And I'm reading her books in publication order which is why I'm gonna read this one. I actually tried reading this about 2 times a few years back, but I could not get into it. So hopefully I can read more than about 1 Chapter haha and finish it.

at least i'm not the only one that struggles with this book :) i always thought that the infernal devices are prequels to the mortal instruments? maybe i'll try to pull an all-nighter and finish it in one go :) - if i don't just doze off...

They are prequels because they are set before the mortal instruments. And they have different characters but I heard that some characters from the mortal instruments show up in the infernal devices. And the infernal devices spoil certain events in the mortal instruments and vice versa I believe if not read in the right order

I think Will went to the house to look for clues about Emma's murderer. Charlotte seems to be very nice and i hope she stays that way :) But where is Tessa brother? It keeps getting more interesting :) (hide spoiler)]

Lady Belcourt seems cool too :) and she likes Magnus Bane - because why not ;) I hope the plan to get Tessa "undercover" into De Quincey's house goes well. Poor Sophie... maybe Tessa's time in America was false and someone gave her new memories of her time there... and maybe her parents are still alive? (hide spoiler)]

Magnus Bane is cool :) I thought the vampires would fed on Nathaniels boss , but NO! it is Nathaniel! there's a fight vampires die, DeQuincey flees and we're back at the institute.
