I just finished listening to Odd Hour and commenced listening to Deeply Odd.

I'm prone to migraine and at times not capable of reading books. So is it ok to take part in this thread anyway? (At least they qualify for being 'read' at present :)

All my Dean Koontz re-reads are done via audiobook. I am a slow reader, so I would not be able to read the monthly group reads without the help of audiobooks.

The only one I have heard of is the Ivy Elgin Series Book One, slated for 2017:

It would be strange if he didn't release at least one book in 2016. Typically there is a December Release.

Since I have an arsenal full of novels and have read most of Dean Koontz (whom I love) I am currently halfway through "Flat Lake In Winter" by Joseph T. Klempner written way back in 1998 and published in 2000. It takes place near the Adirondack Mountains in my home state of New York. A young man (named Jonathan) who is all but a person with a mental disability (borderline mental retardation) is accused of murdering/slaughtering his grandparents in cold blood on the property of which they lived. The main character is a criminal defense attorney Matthew Fielder, a lawyer who doesn't like being responsible for his client's life, is chosen to defend Jonathan. He, and his defense team that he has created (a great one from all walks of life) are working hard to prove that there is no way Jonathan could have committed the murders and therefore keep him away from the death penalty of which the prosecution is seeking.

I really like the author (my first time reading anything from him) because he creates characters and scenes that are so cozy real while using real places that I am familiar with and, as a person with a disability myself who lived on the same property with my grandparents as well as living with them and growing up with them... I can really relate. The only difference is I did not murder my grandparents and my grandparents were not murdered as their means of death.

Which books by Owen King or Joe Hill do you recommend? I have only read Heart-Shaped Box.

This is my first by Owen but I just finished Fireman and enjoyed it managed to meet joe and get it signed. Haven't got heart shaped box must get it, 20th century ghosts has some good short stories in it. Horns is good but really enjoyed Nos4r2 read that one before I knew he was Stephen's son but can see his influence in it

Never, Never is a series by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher. It's a trilogy, but all the books novella length, so they're a very quick read :)

I have just finished reading One With You by Sylvia Day. I really enjoyed the Crossfire series but found the length of time since the 4th book was released too long as I really had trouble remembering details of the story.

I'm just starting on The Choice by Nicholas Sparks before starting on another Dean Koontz book.

I didn't realize there were 3 Miss Peregrine Books.

I also like short books so I will look into Never, Never.

I finished it last night and it definitely moved up on the list of favorite novels by Koontz. It was a terrific read. That is a great idea for a tattoo. I have part of a cover of a Terry Brook's novel tattooed on my back. Our love of books affect us in so many ways.
