Awesome! I am still waiting for my SAINT ODD - will hopefully start this weekend. I am currently re-reading Hideaway by Dean Koontz :-)

I don't remember the ending, but I remember enjoying the book :-) My copy of SAINT ODD arrived Today!
I'm still reading Innocence. For some reason I'm struggling with it, even though I thought I'd eat it up. I think it's all the jumping about in the timeline in such short chapters that's slowing me down.

Finished Innocence! Hallelujah! (review is on here if anyone wants to read it.) Now moving on to Remember Me by Mary Higgins Clark so a break from Koontz for a little while. Never read her before...
Now reading Whispers for the first time (so far so familiar; I recognise this Frye guy from various other books, but the main female is called Hilary so I appreciate that!) and also rereading Seize the Night and savouring my time back in Moonlight Bay. I remember liking this one better than the first, but reading other reviews I realise there's so much I've forgotten in 15 years. In fact, the same can be said of other Koontz books I've read, which fills me with glee to think that I can reread them as if they were new (kind of) and maybe I don't have to ration them out so much as I have been. Sorry to ramble!
I'm currently rereading Dragonsinger by Anne McCaffrey. It's reawakening my old love of science fiction.
Stephanie wrote: "Started Full Dark, No Stars... pretty good so far... a bit over the top gross...""A Good Marriage" in that collection scared the absolute living crap out of me.

I enjoyed Whispers. I've only read it once :-)

The reason it scared me so much was because it's a story that could actually happen in the real world. No supernatural creatures: the monster is purely human.

I think I will. Thank you Stephanie & J.S. for reminding me how much I enjoyed Full Dark, No Stars :-)
I just finished the book, Odd Thomas, and it was....words can't even explain how much I lik-- Loved that book. If only the ending was different though. *sigh* However, pretty soon I'm going to be reading the second one, Forever Odd.
"My watch crystal was etched with eye tracks..." (from Seize the Night p280)What does DK mean by that? He's describing a torturous wait for Bobby or Sasha to come home. Does he mean that he stared at his watch so long that it was like he etched the glass with his eyes? Or that the numbers off his watch were etched into his eyes? Or something else?

Seems to me that he's just describing the scratched surface of the watch from looking at it so long, so much :-)

This is my year for reading very large books or very large sets of books...So, I began The House of Niccolò by Dorothy Dunnett. 8 books! The first was dry in the writing, but the scenes she set were detailed (too much so, ponderous) yet quite funny. Historical, with many of the characters true to history.
I'm on the second book, The Spring of the Ram, the writing has greatly improved, and I am now looking forward to the rest.
Silly me... My curiosity got me to order the Companion to this series, and Wikipedia got me to order the 6 book set (and its companion book too) for the follow up set called the Lymond series. That's 16 books. I'm stupid
Oh. And I bought Koontz's Frankenstein series, for an in between the two heavy series... 5 more books! Hope it's worth it.Did any of you like it?

I love the Frankenstein series and hope to reread them soon.
I'm reading 3 different book at the moment. The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, The Analyst by John Katzenbach
I've been wanting to read The 5th Wave for a while. Let us know how you like it Sam. I've gotten a lot of mixed reviews about it.

Revival is good. I really liked the writing, characters and story, but for me the ending was...so-so. That seems to be the debating point of that book, the ending. Some absolutely love it. Just finished Heartsick, with an excellent psychopath. Looking forward to the next in that series
About to start Invisible Monsters as a BOTM for another group. Looks...intriguingly interesting.
There are 2 versions. I'm going with the original. The "remix" looks like a lot of work, flipping back and forth between chapters.

Is it
by Chelsea Cain? I love that series. Gretchen is awesome even if she is demented.

I'm only about 1/3 of the way through. No spoilers! :)
Currently rereading Strangers. Oddly enough it wasn't was I was looking for when I started digging through my boxes of books but I guess I'm fickle. Lol
Yes Tracy it was Cain's Heartsick with Gretchen. She's one freaky chick. Looking forward to another in the series. I got on a roll with Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters that I also read Survivor, which was really good. They are both twisted, dark humor. I started looking for other humor/horror mash-ups and found My Life As A White Trash Zombie. It was so much fun I read the next two in the series all in about 5 days
Now I'm switching back to 'real' people being the monsters with "Nearest Thing To Crazy"
I love the whole Gretchen & Archie series E. They are full of both humor and horror. I haven't read of My Life as a White Trash Zombie. Maybe I will check it out. Do you know of anymore Gretchen/Archie type books?
Revolution by Russell Brand
Enjoying Brands humor and also his ideas about government, justice, power, money, religion and almost any topic that floats through his demented genius brain.
I'm reading Starshine by G. S. Jennsen. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but I am enjoying it so far.
