Yes Sarah! That was a lovely part. I also simply loved it for its simplicity, more than anything else.

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) | 1160 comments Yay Sarah..you are almost at the end now :)

Wasn't that such a good part of the book? :)

Sarah | 3273 comments Done - finally. It was not a five star read for me, but I did give it four stars. Great handle on psychology Dostoyevsky. But I am glad I read it and do want to read more of his great work.

Oh there is and it is called The Song of Ice and Fire. GRR Martin is a master of character development. His characters are anything but black and white.

Sarah | 3273 comments Ha ha. Not a book - a series - the Game of Thrones is the first book. And fans are dying a little inside because he has two more books to go and is taking years to finish. It is fantasy - not sure what you would think - but he is an amazing writer - this George Martin. Five books - about 1000 pages a piece, are already out though

Keely (kiwifruit192) | 1819 comments Oh, I would love to join in with this, but I'm not sure I'm going to have the time. I'm already trying to read so much and yet I feel like I'm in a reading slump. I guess I'll see what happens on or around the 10th.

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2330 comments Hopefully I can get the book and join you. My BR never happened last month or so ago. I’m going on a vacation to Florida and I’m not sure when I’m returning but I really want to read this as a BR. Count me in!

♥♡¢σσкιє♥♡ (Krystle) (kookiekrysp88) | 69 comments I started the book and it is just as engaging as I remember. There was an interesting forward in my copy that talked about Dostoyevsky's time spent in a work camp when he was younger. That apparently was part of his inspiration for writing this.

message 272: by Keely (new) - rated it 3 stars

Keely (kiwifruit192) | 1819 comments So, I thought I had a copy on my Kindle just waiting to be read, but it turns out I was wrong. I went to my local library today and they didn't seem to have a copy (not the I could find anyway). The library does have an online system where you can request books from other libraries in the nearby areas and they will send a copy there, so I may see if I can do that. Otherwise, the library also have a ebook system, so I will see if they have a copy on there.

In short, I have been unable to acquire a copy thus far, but I will join in once I get ahold of one.
