2. Planetfall and sequels
3. Um...
I don't even know how to do this! I might be able to order them by subgenre...
That will take more brain power than I can give right now, ha!

I’m realizing that I haven’t finished a lot of series that I would like to, so they didn’t make it on my list above:
The Mars Trilogy
Patternmaster
Dragon Prince
A Song Of Ice and Fire
Don’t care so much about Harry Potter, but I expect I’ll finish it sooner rather than later, since my son is reading the one next in line for me.

I will read the rest of the Ancillary series.
I don’t really consider the Hainish cycle a series at all. They are so very vaguely linked by the government that ties them all together, but that’s the only thing.

With that, I am going to have to pass overall. One series I liked equally throughout was Beth Revis' Across the Universe series, but I was reading a lot of y/a with my kids back then.

4. Mercedes Lackey"
Ooh. I'm currently getting a kick out of the 500 Kingdoms and am imagining that I might look for more by Lackey... so I looked at her author page and oh my goodness... I might have to consult with you or start a thread....

Broken Earth
Imperial Radch
Dreamblood
Stormlight
Wheel of Time
Discworld
Earthsea
Abhorsen

Oh wow I haven't thought about the Cirque du Freak series in a long time. I fell HARD for those a a teenager.

I've been rereading them this year. I first got them on spanish as a teen and now I am listening to the audiobooks in their original version. I love them.

Sure! Let me know what mood you're in and I can point you in a direction. Lackey is incredibly productive and she spans a lot of spaces.

Skimming these lists, CBRetriever started mine. Take out Lord of the Rings (tried 3 times to read it and gave up every time), replace with Wheel of Time, not familiar with Indigo but agree with the rest and add these:
Acts of Caine
The Iron Druid Chronicles
Gaea Trilogy
Takeshi Kovacs
