That's great Stacie. We are just waiting for a couple of people to get their library copies and then we'll get a thread and start.

I have a million challenges where I need to read Haruki Murakami books. I have been meaning to read everything he's ever written for a long time now. However, the only books I have at the moment are The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and 1Q84. If you were interested in reading those sometime, I would be up for that :) By the way, great selection of To Reads right there.

message 1021: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) @Sadie....I would like to join you on reading The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan Geisha, a Life by Mineko Iwasaki and Empress Orchid (Empress Orchid, #1) by Anchee Min though I am booked solid with BRs until February in which I will be reading: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden looks like a similar theme in February. From what I understand, I can tap into an already open BR thread months after it has been started. So don't wait on me.

Sure, I don't mind February. It's been on my TBR forever and so highly recommended. I'm just glad I have somebody to discuss it with.

I also want to read this one, but can't do it until at least January. It was going to be on my list of suggestions. If you end up reading it in January or February, I'll join. Otherwise, I'll try to add to the discussion later.

Kristie | 3595 comments Since these seem to be getting booked up so quickly, I have a few that I would love to buddy read with people, though I probably won't have much time until February (seems so strange to be booking that far out!) or maybe one or two in January, depending on scheduling. Let me know if you're interested in discussing any of the following and don't mind waiting a bit:

Revival by Stephen King Heft by Liz Moore Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton Dollbaby by Laura Lane McNeal Yellow Crocus by Laila Ibrahim The Wonder of All Things by Jason Mott
