I´m in a reading funk now and need new recommendation for books. So what are you reading and recommending now??

message 52: by JadeShea (new)

JadeShea I just finished Kidnapped By Her Husbands (Wings of Artemis, #1) by Rebecca Royce
and Rescued by their Wife (Wings of Artemis, #2) by Rebecca Royce !

It's pretty good, with a reverse harem theme.

Sara Yeah I was thinking that too. I've been finally getting back into my books again so I'm excited to jump back in and out of this reading slump!

JadeShea I just finished, Anything but Minor (Balls in Play, #1) by Kate Stewart . It started off good, but didn't end that way.

I've also recently read Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan and that was really good!

I've tried reading that one. I couldn't get into it.

JadeShea I just finished Déjà Dead (Temperance Brennan, #1) by Kathy Reichs ! And it was actually really good. I thought it was a great mystery, crime drama type of book.

This is the series that Bones (the T.V. show) is up too. It's not really anything like the series, but in a way I'm really glad. I wouldn't want to read what I've already seen.

JadeShea I recently read The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchins (I think that's the authors name) and it was nuts.

has anyone read this? and do you recommend any like it?

No I haven´t read this or heard of it.

JadeShea Can someone recommend some books for me, please?

I am looking for a romance type of story, can be paranormal or contemporary or whatever, but I want the hero and heroine to get together pretty easily. No other significant other drama, no major angst, and no forbidden romance.

JadeShea I recently read, 1st to Die (Women's Murder Club, #1) by James Patterson because I started watching the tv show. And I like the show a lot, and I liked the book event though they don't seem to be too similar.

The book blew me away in the end, I was sort of freaking out about what happened.

And then I read to book three, and was very disappointed. I'm so upset with this series, and what happens with it. I had to stop. This did not live up to my expectations on this author.

JadeShea So, I've started this series, Murder on the Rocks (Mack's Bar Mystery, #1) by Allyson K. Abbott , and it is pretty awesome!

I also finished Hate to Love You by Tijan and it was good as well. I was lucky to get an ARC copy of it.

And the next series I am starting is pretty funny, and different. Eat, Pray, Die (An Eat, Pray, Die Humorous Mystery, #1) by Chelsea Field

All of those sound great!

I haven't had a chance to check out Murder on the Rocks, yet, but I did download Paw Enforcement by Diane Kelly after reading the sample.

I was actually waiting to see what you thought of Hate to Love You. Lol. Since I know you're a fan. It looks good, so I think I might try it out. Is it a stand-a-lone book or feature characters from a previous series??

Eat, Pray, Die sounds hilarious. I am gonna check that out, too.

You have given me a huge load of recommendations lately. I wish I could just sit and read all day, doing nothing else. Lol.

Right now, I'm rereading the Magdalene series in prep for the 3rd book's release. I'm rereading on Audiobook, though, so I can get through it a bit faster.

I also have The Elemental Awakenings series to read. It will be a reread of book 1, and my first read of books 2-4.

As I said up above, I added Paw Enforcement to my list, too.

Lots to read and so little time. Haha ♡

Lol, I know what you mean. I can't do audio. LOL I feel like it makes the book different having someone read it to me ha. So, I'm excited for Complicated to come out on ebook and print, because I'm going to re-read it. I think I may end up liking it more that way.

Hate to Love You is good. It's not like her normal books, but it was still pretty good. It is a standalone, so that's cool too.

I have the Magdalene series memorized. I love that series. Soaring is my favorite so far, but I've been excited about the third book. I'm a little nervous about it though because of the "time in between" I don't like it when she has characters that were together, then broke up and years later they find each other again. It frustrates me. well, certain circumstances I like it others I don't. Like in For You, I think that's the name of the first book in the Burg series, that annoyed the crap out of me.

Anyway! I hope you get to it all soon. lol
