So just finished Shift 1. I need to sleep for the night and in 10 hours Overdrive will be sucking the book back into cyberspaceville until I get my renewal back. The same thing happened to me with Wool. I'll see how far I get tonight. (view spoiler)
Hopefully some more questions will be wandered in the next shift.
I picked up Dust at the library today, it was just looking at me when I walked in, sitting there on the display shelf.....Not that I don't already have enough books lined up!Is anyone else planning to read the next book?

I already got Dust on Audible, so I'm definitely planning to read that one too.

I have it sitting on my kindle staring at me :D
Hehe. Just read the very first "In 2007..." pre-section and thought nanobots! A Quick Bite All the people in the Silo's will be vampires.
I'm finished and get to read all the spoilers.I agree with most people on Anna, she just needed to let go from day 1. How many hints do you need? But what Donald did though......
Overall, not as exciting as Wool in terms of action. There were some dull moments. And now I am left with more questions and curious about what happens next. If we end up doing a BR of Dust in 2015, I'm game.
I finished! (view spoiler)I like the way the end of this book connected to Wool. It was interesting to see it from another perspective. There was a section (as others have noted) that was a bit repetitive and slow, but overall I thought it was a really good book.
I liked that part of the ending too, it sets up really well to be ready to move onto the next book, for me it brought back some of the momentum that was lost in the middle.
I feel the same way, Kristie. I was initially annoyed that it was a prequel, but it worked out perfectly. It was slower than Wool, but I think I didn't find it too slow because I read it intermixed with other books.
Very good. So when are we reading Dust? January?
Yes Kelly I agree - I had to go and look it up too (which proved difficult so I went to our old BOM!)
I wanted to start reading book 3, anyone interested in starting Jan. 1? If so, I'll ask the mods for a thread. Anyone interested? or at a later date?

I was surprised how long the battles went on for. And that t..."
I agree about Shadow :)

yes I am interested. what date?

yes I am interested. what date?
I can't start Jan 1st. I have too many reads already planned. Late January would be better, if you can wait. Or I'll just jump in later. I was thinking about posting in the buddy read request folder.

Done with Shift 2. Wondering what happens do Donald now, it that will be answered, and why Thurman was immune. Also Shift 3 starts at 2345 - time is really advancing.

Haha, late to the party. You will have to excuse me - I am very bad with names so sorry for the confusion I caused which seems to have been long resolved. Daniel spells Donald in my mind, but apparently is not the name the book is using
