Katherine, the most likely time I'd be able to meet with you is in the summer. I go every year to San Diego to meet in person with an author Lee Fullbright whose book The Angry Woman Suite I won back in 2012. Long story short, I PM'd her and told her how excited I was to have won her book and we began to PM each other. We hit it off and wrote quite a bit. That summer I asked if I came down if we could meet up and she said yes, so I've been down there three years in a row now. We always go to this little Mexican restaurant there and I've been to her home.

I ALMOST got to meet Jacqueline last summer in Oceanside, but we ween't able to, so when I am heading that way I'll let you know. We could at least meet for lunch or something. YAY! I'm excited!

Summer is the best bet for me as well. My family goes down to the LA and San Diego area every year, even more so now since my cousin moved to LA this past summer. So whenever you're down there, please let me know so we can meet each other!!!

I only remember that we did find out that Matthew's father (view spoiler)[ wasn't really the one who impregnated her and it had been Matthew's baby. (hide spoiler)]

Remember in book 2 how disappointing it was that the killer was (view spoiler)[just thrown in there, almost like an afterthought? I don't know if, for some reason, he was supposedly the one who killed Katherine too but that doesn't make much sense because all of the other girls were 17 like Tandy. (hide spoiler)] But I don't recall a specific answer to Katherine's (view spoiler)[murder either. (hide spoiler)]

The Note: Remember in book 2 that the only reason we knew (view spoiler)[that James did still love her was all of the letters he had written to her that had been kept from her. It seems like letter writing is ingrained in him. I thought it was awful to leave that way right after they first made love! (hide spoiler)]

I finished this book yesterday and LOVED IT!!!

The Angel family is SO messed up. The parents truly loved their kids, but were all in all horrible parents. I can't believe they gave innocent subjects (view spoiler)[drugs that caused them to have great powers, but aged them rapidly. (hide spoiler)]

James (view spoiler)[was a real cad, cheating on Tandy like that and leading her along. Or is he (hide spoiler)]

And finding out that Katherine (view spoiler)[is still alive... OMFG (hide spoiler)]

Gram Hilda's basement: That was a surprise to find all of the (view spoiler)[ pictures and paraphernalia regarding Katherine. I wonder if she is even really dead. Why are they in Paris? Katherine was there too, so is their journey there somehow connected? (hide spoiler)]

Uncle Peter (view spoiler)[....so....he used Katherine as an example and talked a couple into giving their 3 boys pills that their parents made. And these kids died from old age (because the pills aged them rapidly)
right?? so........I don't know how that adds anything to anything.

Henry was around only to act completely erratically and TRY to lose his inheritance

I can't figure out why the fire and the interrogation OR seeing the photos of her dead parents

I had missed your Ch. 40 spoilers, so not much use responding now I don't think. But in regards to your Ch. 50 spoilers, I have a feeling that (view spoiler)[ MAYBE Katherine is still alive and the connection could be that she has also aged but not as fast and so she hasn't died yet.

I don't think that Harry's drug use/party/irresponsibility is too far fetched. He's too concerned with drugs to worry about disgracing the family and Hugo is too young. I think that maybe the drugs he's currently taking (the parents' "vitamins") are helping him with his music; however, it does seem to me that for him to go from basically a nobody to performing in one of THE most important venues on the continent is highly suspicious. But I don't know why or what it means. (view spoiler)[

Yes, I did know (view spoiler)[Peter was bad and I really thought he'd been worse that we thought, but until we met the elderly couple I had no idea what had happened to Katherine, but I figured she'd aged too. When Dominick said Peter had warned him and Tandy said she didn't see Katherine due to a closed casket, I just figured he was behind it all. But there are still unanswered questions. (hide spoiler)]

I'm still wondering if (view spoiler)[Lulu ever comes up again. Do we ever find out who killed Matthew's gf, or did I forget? LOL And the book can't end with the Angels never seeing their sister again. That's bad. (hide spoiler)] Off to finish!

Finished and I am conflicted as well. I completely agree with you regarding Patterson being (view spoiler)[ all over the place. I also feel "cheated" but I felt the same way in book 2 (or was that book 1?) when the killer was some guy who had a tiny bit of space. Nobody we could have even listed as a suspect. (hide spoiler)]

When we learned that (view spoiler)[James was alive and back at home, I knew it was no good. But I was really hoping that he was truly away from her because of his dad, and I still think he did care about her BUT he didn't know how to love her and also stay celibate or wait until things were worked out with his dad. If I remember correctly, didn't he write her a long list of letters in book 2 and they found each other and ran away? To me that story line doesn't line up with what he just did with C.P. And why HER of all people?? That made NO sense whatsoever! (hide spoiler)]

The very last page or so I truly thought there would be some (view spoiler)[redeeming story line. But Katherine sends a video of her baby? WHY? LOL Why on earth add that? Am I missing something there too? (hide spoiler)]
