That cliffhanger ending from Book 2 was not okAY.

This was an okay story, but the pace was a bit slow in places. We did get a couple of twists though, including someone coming back from the dead.

Spoilers: The Great Debate

Secondly: I averaged my rating for this book based on how I felt during each half. The first half was a 1.5-2 stars rating (We'll get to why in a second) The second half was a solid 4 stars. Now, let me tell you about this below-average addition to what was previously a great series.

First off, this title is ridiculously inaccurate. "The Paris Mysteries", my butt. There was exactly one mystery, if it could even be called that. The mystery of Katherine, which barely required Tandy to do an

Disappointing. This third romp with teenage sleuth, Tandy Angel, is not very good and doesn't even include a mystery.

In "The Paris Mysteries" Tandy and her two brothers are moved to Paris by their Uncle Jacob. Naturally they live in a huge mansion because, while they were stripped of all their money in the 2nd installment, Grandma Hilda was fabulously wealthy and left them everything. Tandy meets up with James, her teenage lover, who beds her and abandons her in a Paris hotel.

Then things get rea

Unfortunately I have to say that this book in the series did disappoint me. I liked it but due to so many unanswered questions and to me, undeveloped story lines, I couldn't love it. :o(

I didn't see/hear the snarky Tandy from the previous books. I just feel like this book lost its pizzazz, and I hate to say that but it's true.

Why have characters of major importance only to bring them in and out of existence? I can't say more or I'll give too much away, but simply suffice it to say that too muc

Very disappointed in this third book. There really was no mystery and I found some parts of the book useless and rushed.

Confessions: The Paris Mysteries is a disaster. This book is not a book. It is a collection of random plot lines and unnecessary events, strung together in no particular order. We have a house fire, an accusation of murder, a drug abusing brother, a dead but not dead sister, a mysterious and long-lost, ex-commando uncle, an all consuming love, the betrayal of a best friend, a momentarily missing child, a mental institutionalization, a few new songs, perverted letters from the other uncle

I felt like this book was probably my least favorite of the series. I felt like Tandy was all over the place and everything that happened was kind of spastic. Like she was with James for literally two chapters and then she spends the rest of the book bemoaning the fact that he's left her. And then loosing sleep over what she was going to do without him there and how she was going to be able to get him back. It seemed a bit ridiculous. I think the plot was pretty good overall. I mean it stuck wit ...more

I felt like this was a little disjointed. I know it's supposed to be the journal of a 16-year-old girl, so in that sense, it does read like that - scattered.

I marked it 2 stars not because it was awful, but because it was "just ok".

I devoured the first two books in this series within one day of started them. I started this book but the action was lackluster and then couldnt find book. Stumbled across it the other day and finally finished it. The family has fled NYC to Paris to their deceased Grandmother's estate. Upon arriving they have meetings with lawyers who lay out a very complicated future in order to inherit riches beyond anyone's dream. Tandy has a moment with James. Matty returns to NYC to fulfill his football car ...more

I’m almost done with this series. They are ok for young adult books but not great. They are YA books so they move fast with several well stops where I want to say “please stop, slow down and get more in depth”. However they march on. So I’m almost done with the whole series and I’m looking forward to a great climax.

What I enjoy most about this series is that you can see the characters grow and change. You can feel them striving towards normalcy despite everything that has happened. Of course more mysteries are developed and more secrets exposed, thus creating more mysteries and secrets. Although there are times when you can guess what is coming up, there are times when you are caught completely off-guard. My only hope is this series is wrapped before it takes the plunge off the deep-end, much like the Maxi ...more

"I'd been savagely betrayed by so many people I had loved.
I was even furious with myself for ever loving any of them."

I'm so disappointed. This book felt disjointed and all over the place. The plot felt forced and so many things felt....ridiculous. The Angel family has always been quirky but for the first time...I didn't even recognized them. I don't feel like they were acting like they did in book 1 or book 2.

And, probably most disappointing, is that everything I'd looked forward to in book 1

This was the 3rd book to the "confessions" books and I have to say, I was impressed. Although it started off slower than the first 2 books, the ending had me wanting to read more. There was great character development and major plot twists.

I liked this book, and I accidentally read book 3 before I read book 2 and I was still able to keep up with everything.
In this book Tandy is back and she is with her family in Paris, after her parents death the family was unsure if they would have any financial support since the parents were basically bankrupt. They travelled to Paris with thier Uncle who at first is very strict with them and they find out that their Grandmother has left them all a sizable amount of money with the only restricti

Yay!!! Glad that Katherine is alive. Sad that they lost their Paris house. So Uncle Peter is a psychopath. Hope Tandy will be able to get Peter locked up. Also glad she found James. Bad James. Not good to sleep with your girlfriend's best friend.

Can't wait to read Confessions #4: The Murder of an Angel!!!!
Recommended (definitely) if you've read the first two books in this series. Super excited to read book #4!

Since the release of the first book in this trilogy... Series? I'm still not sure whether this is over yet or not because of that bland ending, though since the start, I've been in love with this idea, the characters and the real story behind the mysteries. The plot here is entitled to captivate me to the highest stand, and it's absolutely not your typical mystery off the streets. Fame, fort

This is one of the few series that I religiously follow every year. Even though the focal plot and conflict gets resolved with each instalment, the end always paves the way for the next one.

I love reading about teens with extraordinary powers. And while the Angel siblings are no way near in the league of say, Super Friends, their genetically enhanced intelligence, strengths, and prowesses come pretty close.

Grandma’s last will and testament.
