my name isn’t coming up in searches

I am trying to add a widget to my website and need my userid from my author page, so I had a friend log on and search for me and no matter how she typed my name, she can’t get me to come up in a search for authors, yet I have an author profile as Michelle Melton Cox. Can you help me?
