What do you mean when describing a book as a "beach read?"

I have used the description "beach read" when describing thoughts about a book to mean a story that requires little of my concentration. Reads fast, easy contemporary language, keeps my interest as much as momentary eavesdropping. how about you?

I agree with you. Beach Read, light read, they are the same. You don't need to think too much, story flows easily and you're done before you know it!
