Jillian (jilliemae) | 35 comments I just finished "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: and other lessons from the Crematory" by Caitlin Doughty, which fits into what some consider the more macabre genre. It was very well written; she tells you about her experience working in the crematory, but also gives you different histories of how other cultures deal with death, and how the U.S.'s view has changed over time. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if the topic is typically a taboo one.
