I loved the idea of this challenge when I discovered it halfway through 2019. Although I've been an avid reader my entire life, I didn't join Goodreads until I became a librarian in 2014. But when I did so, I added TONS of books the first couple years. As a librarian, I tend to read new books as we get them, so other books languish on my TBR. This has been the perfect challenge to remedy that. As I looked back, I also realized that sometimes I add books to my list just so I don't forget about them, but eventually I lose interest and don't care to read them anymore, for one reason or another. Pruning the dead weight has been a really freeing part of this challenge as well.
