I’m reading
The Shakespeare Requirement: A Novel by Julie Schumacher. I’m enjoying it but it’s not as sparkly as the first.

Sorry I can’t recommend Sébastien Pelon’s nicely illustrated Ready to Ride. Cute drawings but a rather strange and disturbing (to me) story.

I've just started The Last by Hanna Jameson, and if you're into dystopian end-of-world type fiction then I highly recommend it. I'm not that far in but totally hooked.https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/boo...
Just a question to all you addicts.
How many of you are reading more than one book at a time.?

I always have several books going at the same time.
1) Short story anthology for dipping into when I need a break from
2) Fiction I am currently reading
3) Nonfiction political/resistance book
4) Nonfiction science/math book
I just finished
Ohio and think it might be on my lifetime list of best books. I can't imagine the luck of reading a better book this year. It's coming Aug 21st, so there's probably still time to request it from NetGalley.
The Ballad of Huck and Miguel is a brave updating by Tim DeRoche of Mark Twain's American classic, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Easy reading, powerful linocut illustrations.

I missed it on NetGalley, but you may still have it to review.Compelling true-crime. If it weren't so well-documented, it would be hard to believe.
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann reads like a novel with an outrageous plot that will outrage YOU!

Hi Sheila ihave read this book, could'nt put it down. A real page turner. Let me know what you think. I have just finished Pretty Ugly Lies by Pamela Crane EXPLOSIVE.
A second look with the benefit of hindsight. Talented Aussie author Aoife Clifford has written her second book Second Sight. Lots of seconds there, but it's a first-rate read!

Shelved Under Murder (Blue Ridge Library Mysteries #2) by Victoria Gilbert

I'm reading The House of One Thousand Eyes. It's amazing and very relevant. While it's set in Germany in the 80s (so still divided), there are so many parts relevant to the US now, unfortunately. It's excellently written and a "read now" option.
I've just finished The Space Between. Suspenseful book, beautifully written regarding astrology too. Now to find my next read.
Cute, inspiring children's book showing how young Fern finds a way to give Joy to her sad, stay-at-home Nanna. Recommended for all families!

This book blew me away this is her best one yet.
Believe me, No Further Questions is a good book. I'm a bit slow reading as I am waiting for new reading glasses. That has cramped my style temporarily. Hah!!!
A cute book that encourages a bit of scrounging for rocket parts!Astromouse by Steve Smallman will send kids to the kitchen looking for a funnel.

The illustration of both books are so jaw droppingly gorgeous!! <3 A must read for little readers (My almost 4 yo loves them!)

I'm celebrating Nelson Mandela's 100th birthday by reviewing a picture book about his life. Grandad Mandela by his daughter, Zindzi Mandela, (and two of her grandchildren). History made really easy!

I have had this for a while, started twice, but keep getting sidetracked. In fact, I was reading it the other day when I was notified that I was approved for the ARC of
and put Ohio aside again.
