Are you enjoying Kennedy books. I am going asking how graphics are her rape scene and is just one scene or several of them. send me an email.

Louise...I've read the Grip series and loved them differently than how I loved the Hoops series. Some of the reviews turned me off of the King Duet series. I'm still considering the Bennetts. I can't decide on the Soul Series which deals with Rhyson, Bristol's brother from Grip, and Kai. I met them in the Grip books and would love to visit with the other characters from Grip. I really wished that the author would have written more books in the Grip series. Let me know which ones you read. In spite of the rape scenes and the other vicious physical abuse, you really should read Long Shot and the other Hoops books.
Alf...what did you think of Long Shot once your heart stopped palpitating?

I read Long Shot first. It contains more than domestic/physical abuse as stated in the blurb. It contains very graphic sexual abuse including a rape scene which turns a lot of readers off. As horrible as the very graphic rape scene was, it was well written and essential to the plot. One reviewer wrote the book was "Emotional, raw, gritty, real, soul searching and heartbreaking" and another wrote that the book "wrecks and restores". I've read the book three times and I had to put the book down more than once every time I read it. It was gut wrenching and brought out very ugly feelings in me because of the viciousness. In spite of the viciousness, it is more than a romance - it is a love story. However, if that type of abuse causes triggers, then you shouldn't read it, no matter that is an excellent book.
Renae....Read a sample of the book. Then if you want to read it, I'll loan it to you if you send me your e-mail address.
